Hellwig is a bit new to our selection so I haven't gotten to get my hands on as many of their products as compared to Roadmaster. The experience I've had so far has been somewhat disappointing in terms of overall quality unfortunately. They don't always offer replacement hardware so you'll have to reuse old hardware that could potentially be too worn or the hardware we were given was easily stripped just hand-tightening it. Personally, when I have a choice between Roadmaster # RM-1129-135 and Hellwig # HE29GR I choose Roadmaster. I have used their sway bars for several years and have never had an issue. You are correct that the Hellwig is a solid 4140 steel and the Roadmaster is also a solid 4140 steel so with the larger 1-1/8" diameter it is going to be stronger than the 7/8" Hellwig option. view full answer...

If you have the SwayPro system then you're using the 1,000 lbs TW Spring Bars # BXW4007 with a range of 750 lbs - 1,000 lbs, and if you have the 2-Point Sway system then you're using the 1,200 lbs TW Spring Bars # BLU64XR with a range of 800 lbs - 1,200 lbs.
Both of these options will work just fine with your new setup, but if you really want to go to a lower rating then that's fine, provided you keep your tongue weight within the proper ranges:

Typically when the frame brackets for the Reese Weight Distribution # RP66020 can't be used they switch to the Bolt On Hangers # RP58305. I have seen some weld the brackets onto the trailer but as Reese did not design the brackets to be used in that manner I cannot give you any details on how much of the bracket needs to be welded. It shouldn't take much but they need to be secured in place to not slide on the frame or lift from the top rail.
