Expert Answers about Keystone RV Vents and Fans

  • Question About a Product
  • Hi Christopher, There unfortunately isn't a guide to tell us the exact part numbers for the vents, skylights, etc. on your Passport. We offer a variety of plumbing vents and 12v fan vents but we unfortunately do not offer skylights. If you want to send some pictures and measurements on the plumbing vents in then we can figure out the best replacements, for the 12v fan vent I'd want your opinion on the features you'd prefer for the roof vent. • Could MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent be Used in Bathroom as Fan
  • Hey Jim, yeah the MaxxFan roof vent part # MA00-04002K would do a great job as a bathroom fan unlike what you have now as it can move a lot of air.

  • Solution for Needing Replacement Motor for Fan-Tastic Fan 1250
  • Hey Richard, so I have a solution for you but the motor of your fan by itself is not able to be replaced due to age. So instead your Fan-tastic Vent FV1250 can be upgraded with the Fan-Tastic Vent 7350 Series Upgrade Kit # FV807359 as long as your FV1250 isn't the clamp on style connection to the coach roof. I was able to confirm this with the manufacturer.

  • Parts Needed To Power Trailer Lights and Roof Vent In Trailer
  • Since you're not running too much, you're just going to need to mount a dedicated 12V battery inside your trailer. You'll then be able to connect your fan and hook up your lights using the wire # 12-1-1 and the ring terminals # 44-5310A for each light. I also recommend hooking your battery up to your trailer's 7-way using the junction box # 38656 which will then maintain the battery on-board while hooked up. If you plan on being not connected for a while, I'd suggest getting a battery...

  • Replacement Roof Vent Lid to Fit Multiple Tab Hinge for Older Horse Trailer
  • Thanks for the photos, Charlotte! The replacement lid you're looking for is the Camco Replacement Lid for Jensen RV Roof Vent w/ Pin-Style Hinge # CAM40147. This is designed for standard 14" x 14" vent covers which you actually have. The 14" measurement is taken from the opening up above which is why your measurements are slightly different. If you wanted to upgrade to a newer vent that is completely possible and you won't have to modify the hole in your roof. For a standard replacement...

  • What is the Amp Draw Of The Advent Air Low Profile RV Air Conditioner for Dometic Setup # ASA68YR
  • The Advent Air Low Profile RV Air Conditioner for Dometic Setup # ASA68YR has a compressor rated load of 12.4 amps while the fan motor is rated for a load of 2.6 amps or 15 amps total. Do understand the AC does have a start capacitor that will help boost amperage to start the motors and may cause a slightly higher draw than 15 amps which is why Advent recommends a 20 amp circuit to be used.

  • Recommended Upgraded A/C Unit for a 30' Horse Trailer
  • Angelica, I recommend going with the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System # FR55PV. This AC unit is a bit beefier than your Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System # ACM135C, with a 15K Btu per hour cooling capacity. This unit also comes with a single zone controller, a wall mounted thermostat with a digital display, and includes the mounting hardware for the distribution box.

  • Is The Advent Air Low Profile RV Air Conditioner # ADV79FR Compatible With The # ACDB
  • Hey Jon, Yes, the Advent Air Low Profile RV Air Conditioner # ADV79FR is compatible with the Air Distribution Box # ACDB. This would have the controls on the air distribution box instead of a wall mounted thermostat. We don't currently have any systems with a wireless remote. You'll want to doublecheck the BTU rating of your current unit and make sure you have a 13,500BTU rating. If you have a 15,000BTU rating or you just want to upgrade you can go with the # ADV29FR instead.

  • Is It Possible To Replace/Upgrade The Thermostat In A 2015 Cruise Lite 26'
  • Hello Wayne. It may be possible to replace the thermostat in your 2015 Cruise Lite. Replacement thermostats are generally brand specific to the AC unit, so I will need to know what brand/model of AC you currently have in your camper. For example, the Replacement Single Zone Thermostat # DMC79FR will work with the Dometic brand RV Air Conditioners. If this is not exactly what you have, feel free to drop that info in the comments below and I am happy to make a recommendation.
