  • The Silver Modular Trailer Wheel # LHHA315 from the Castle Rock ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 15" Silver Mod Wheel # LHACK121 has a powder coat finish. While the Vesper wheel on the Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 15" Vesper Silver Mod Wheel # MX57FR has an acrylic enamel finish which is more durable than powder coat. • Tire Recommendation for a 15" Vesper Steel Modular Trailer Wheel with 5 on 5" Bolt Pattern
  • Thanks for reaching out, Jack! The Vesper Steel Modular Trailer Wheel # TA27RR with the 5 on 5" bolt pattern is only available as the wheel, so you'll have to get a 205/75R15 tire mounted by a tire shop. For a tire I recommend the Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range D # TR20515D because of the weight rating (2,150 lbs at 65 psi), the 81 mph speed rating, and the radial construction of the tire. Attached are some review videos for you to check out!

  • Replacement Tire for Highway Use on 4x8 Ultra Tow Foldable Aluminum Trailer
  • The best option for a highway tire is going to be switching to a radial. Radial tires have better performance in general, especially on the road. The Taskmaster 4.80R12 Radial Trailer Tire # TT48012C would be the best choice. This tire has a capacity of 990 lbs at 90 psi and a max speed rating of M for 81 mph. It will also fit on your existing wheels. We do not have a wheel and tire combination with a 4 on 4 bolt pattern so if you want wheels as well we carry 12" wheels like the # DEX44FR...

  • Should I Use Bias Or Radial Tires On My Utility Trailer?
  • Hey Daniel, I can help point you in the right direction. If I were you I would stick with the radial tires. Bias ply tires use a crisscross pattern for the layers of cord. This make for a more firm sidewall and this is more of an "old school" design opposed to the radial tires. Radial tires will give a smoother ride, better traction, better fuel consumption and will run cooler than bias tires. This allows them to generally last longer than bias tires. It sounds like you will be using this...

  • Tire and Wheel Upgrade Recommendation for 4.80-12 Tire with 4-Bolt Pattern Wheels
  • Thanks for reaching out, William! I recommend upgrading to the Kenda KR25 Radial Trailer Tire with 12" Aluminum HWT Wheel # AM31208HWT because you get a higher weight rating (1,220 lbs at 65 psi), a higher speed rating at 81 mph, and an aluminum wheel that not only looks more stylish than the standard steel wheel, but it also does a much better job at resisting corrosion when it comes to water exposure. You'll be taking away about 1/2" of height clearance to the fender, and about 1/2"...

  • Spare Wheel and Tire for 2024 Ice Castle With 235/80-16 Tires
  • For your 2024 Ice Castle I have a couple options you can choose from. If looks aren't a concern and you just want a spare to get you by in the event of a blowout I recommend the Diamondback ST235/80R16 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 16" Vesper White Spoke Wheel # TA64GR. This is a low cost spare that will get the job done. If you're looking for something that closely matches your current wheel the Provider ST235/80R16 Radial Tire w 16" Viking Aluminum Wheel # A16RTK8BMMFLHD seems to be fairly...

  • Recommended Hub and 14-15 Inch Wheel and Tire for Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension
  • It looks like you ordered the Timbren # ASR1200S02 which uses # L44649 bearings. I recommend using the Easy Grease Trailer Idler Hub for 2K Axles # AKIHUB-545-2-LFEZ-2K which is designed for 13" to 15" wheels. You won't find 14" or 15" wheels that can use a 4 on 4 bolt pattern so you're definitely going to need a hub with a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern like this one. I'm not entirely sure what your setup is like but you will need to make sure you have clearance for the larger tires. At a minimum...

  • Can I Upgrade To Larger Tires/Wheels If Space Is Not An Issue
  • If space is not an issue, then yes, you sure can. Our rule of thumb is that you want at least 3" of clearance between the tire and the fender or wheel well. Then you want at least 1" of clearance between the inside of the tire and the frame of the trailer. A lot of times the fender or wheel well area will limit what size tire you can use, but if you have enough space there is no reason you can't upgrade.

  • Considerations For Upgrading A Carry-On Utility Trailer To 15" Tires For Long Highway Trips
  • Hey Matt, it certainly may be possible to upgrade the tires on your utility trailer. Space limitations are the main thing to consider though. Our rule is that you want at least 3" between the tire and the wheel well/fender, and you want at least 1" between the inside of the tire and the frame of the trailer. Aside from that we would want to make sure the hub bolt pattern is also a 5 on 4-1/2". We would also want to make sure the hubs you are using are made to support a 15" wheel. I am...

  • Which Utility Trailer Wheels Can Be Used At Highway Speeds Of 70-75MPH
  • Hey Nate, We unfortunately don't offer utility trailers but we can definitely help you out with new wheels and tires with a higher rating to handle highway speeds. You'll want a trailer tire with an 'M' speed rating or better, which means you'll need at least a 12" wheel. This can come with a 4 on 4 or 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern. I would check with your local trailer wholesalers for the trailer and stay away from the cheap trailers sold by big chain hardware stores. If you can't find one with...

  • Replacement Tires for Malone MicroSport Trailer
  • There really isn't an advantage to moving to a higher load range so I would choose the # AM30590 over the # AM30670 to save a little money. The tires are both made by Kenda and fairly comparable to each other with the same 5-year warranty.

  • Does 8" Trailer Tire Need to be Upgraded for Safe Travel on a Long Highway Trip
  • Hey Scott, thanks for reaching out! A common misconception is that bigger tires/wheels means they are better. While bigger tires can generally handle more weight, as long as a tire isn't being overloaded or the max speed is exceeded then the tire will be perfectly safe to use. We've actually had instances where using a larger tire/wheel just causes a bigger headache because then you might have to deal with a different bolt pattern, larger hub size, or even the tire being too wide for...

  • Hey Moran, The Loadstar ST185/80D13 Bias Trailer Tire with 13" Galvanized Wheel # AM3S334 you were already looking at is going to be the best option for your boat trailer if you go boating in salt water. For fresh water you'll want to go with a painted wheel like the # AM3S331 instead.

  • Can I Swap Out My ST205/75R14 For ST205/75R15 Tires?
  • A ST205/75R14 trailer tire is going to have a diameter of about 26.3" and a width of 8.1" when inflated. If we go up to a 15", the ST205/75R15 tires are about 27.3" in diameter and 8.1" wide. So, they have the same width, but the 15" will be 1" larger in diameter. That said, it may still be possible to go with the 15" tires, such as the Kenda Karrier # AM10245, it will completely depend on what kind of clearance you currently have in the wheel well. Our rule of thumb is that you want...

  • Recommended Wheel/Tire Upgrade for a 4.80-12 Tire On a Jet Ski Trailer
  • Brian, the Karrier ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire with 13" Galvanized Wheel # AM31952 would be a massive upgrade assuming you have the clearance for it. Comparatively this tire is going to be about 1.2" wider, 2.9" taller, and an inch thicker than your current tires which should help ease your mind when you're hauling your race ski.

  • Spare Tire Carrier For A 5x8 Utility Trailer With Wood Side Rails
  • Hello Tom. Your best bet for that will be a simple bolt-on spare tire carrier like the Offset Trailer Spare Tire Mount by Dutton-Lainson # DL22120. This is made to attach to trailer frames up to 3" wide and 5" tall. I am not sure about the size of your wood side rails, but as long as it is within that range this will be a good option for any 4 lug or 5 on 4-1/2" wheels Please note that these spare tire carriers are designed to attach to steel trailer frames. Please do make sure that the...

  • Upgrading Or Replacinging Axle, Hubs, Tires, Wheels And Springs On A 2008 Jet Ski Trailer
  • Hey Steve, I can definitely help with this. A lot to unpack here so I will do my best to cover everything. Let's start with the axle/spindles, since that will directly tie into what hubs, wheels and tires we end up going with. As far as the axle, we do not have anything with a 54" hub face (HF) measurement. We do have the CE Smith Trailer Axle # CE33201GA-HUB, which has a 57-1/2" HF measurement. It is rated for 1,800 lbs and the axle itself is a 1-1/2" square tube. This axle also comes...

  • Looking For Wheel Bearing And Tires For A 2020 Grand Design Imagine 22MLE
  • Hello Jeff, thanks for reaching out. Parts like wheel bearings and tires are not custom fitted, so they won't be fit guided on our site. Meaning there is no way to purchase these parts based on just the year make and model of trailer. For bearings we would simply look at the size of the current hub/bearing/spindle in order to find replacements. The best way to get this info is to either remove a hub and pull the bearings, or see if a Grand design dealership can provide the bearing info....

  • Is A Load Range G Tire More Durable Than An E Range Tire?
  • Hey Mike thanks for your question. The short answer is yes, a higher rated tire like an F or G is going to be more durable or bulletproof than an E rated tire. The Load range G tires for example the Provider ST235/85R16 Radial Trailer Tire # TTWPRG235R16 has a 14 ply rating and is rated for 4,400 lbs at 110 psi. This means it has more layers of belt/cord than a 10 ply E rated tire, so they are able to bear more weight and hold more pressure. Assuming your fifth wheel is a tandem axle,...
