Hello Tim. We can definitely set you up with a complete AC system with an Advent low profile unit. We currently do not offer these parts as a package, but you can purchase all of the exact same components separately. To answer your question, yes, the same air handler will work with the low-profile unit. Here is what you will need for the complete AC system:
- Advent Air Low Profile RV Air Conditioner - 13,500 Btu - White # ADV79FR
- Air Distribution Box w/ Built-In Thermostat for Advent... view full answer...
Yes, you can replace your GE air conditioner with the 15,000 Btu Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System # FR55PV.
This will be a complete replacement with no parts of your current AC used; no other parts are needed except for what comes with the # FR55PV. view full answer...
Hey Dock, the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System # FR32PR that you referenced does come with everything needed to install in the roof vent hole you have currently on your Grand Design. You'd only need this part number and you'd have everything needed. view full answer...
Sorry Ira you're going to need to pick one or the other. The Replacement Air Distribution Box item # FACT11MA-PS you were looking at has the thermostat and controls built in. It's designed to replace a wall thermostat entirely. There's no way to use this with one.
If you want to use the Wall Thermostat for Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner item # FR33PR you would need to install the Replacement Air Distribution Box for Furrion Chill RV Air Conditioners - LED - Electric Control item... view full answer...
The # ADV79FR is just the unit itself which could be used as a replacement for an existing setup. The Advent Air Low Profile RV AC w/ Air Distribution Box, Start Capacitor, and Heat Strip - 13,500 Btu # ASA49YR has everything you need to add a new system to the bedroom on your 5th wheel. If you don't care about the heat strip you could also piece it together with the following parts:
-Advent Air Low Profile RV Air Conditioner - 13,500 Btu - White # ADV79FR
-Air Distribution Box w/ Built-In... view full answer...
Yes, the Advent Air Low Profile RV Air Conditioner # ADV29FR will be a great replacement for your Dometic MFG B59516.711C0. This is compatible with Dometic setups so no additional parts are needed. view full answer...
The reason that is listed so far out is the wiring adapter. What you can do is order the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner # ACM150, Start Capacitor # ACMSCKIT, and Coleman RV Air Conditioner Adapter Wiring Kit for Furrion Chill, Dometic, or Advent Air Units # C-FACR15SA-A01. All of these parts are currently in stock.
The Furrion wiring adapter is identical to the Advent Air so you will be able to use it to connect to your Coleman setup. It doesn't come with the template or the extra screws... view full answer...
There are some companies working on AC units that have this built in but they haven't been released at this time and I don't know when they will finish development. What you can do is add the SoftStartRV Soft Start for Single Zone Air Conditioner Setup # SSR54FR. This works with any AC unit and reduces the power needed to start so you can get by with something like a small generator. view full answer...
Hi Keith; the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner # ACM150 can be used to replace your old Dometic. However, this is designed as a replacement for a Dometic setup with an external control box. Since that control box is destroyed you will also need the Air Distribution Box w/ Wall-Mounted Thermostat for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners # ACRG15. I also recommend adding the Start Capacitor # ACMSCKIT. You can pair these two parts with the used unit to get your AC replaced. view full answer...
The Start Capacitor for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners # ACMSCKIT is specifically for Advent ACs and is not going to work with your Advent AC - you'd need to use the SoftStartRV Soft Start for Single Zone Air Conditioner Setup # SSR54FR which is a universal kit. view full answer...
While the same style AC used on an RV can be used on an enclosed car trailer you will need to work with the manufacturer to ensure the roof has the bracing needed to support the weight of the air conditioner since they weigh between 60-80lbs.
If your trailer manufacturer says your roof is braced for the weight you can look at installing either a 13.5K # ADV94FR or 15K # ADV64FR system. view full answer...
Thanks for all the detailed information! For a 15,000 BTU AC Unit to replace your Dometic B57915.711C0, you will want the Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Dometic Setup item # ACDOM150B in black or item # ACDOM150 in white.
These are 15,000 BTU air conditioners. They come with a start capacitor to help boost the power to ensure your AC gets up and running when you need. They do not come with a heat strip but you can add that easily with the Electric Heat Strip for Advent... view full answer...
Hey Robin, the Dometic AC unit you have is a Brisk unit so for a cover the part # 290-3027 would be what you would need.
If you needed a shroud the part # DMC46FR is correct fit. view full answer...
Hey Christian, thanks for reaching out!
I have a wiring diagram for the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner # ACM150 (see attached), but I unfortunately don't have a photo of the back of the plug itself.
You should still be able to follow the diagram though so you can get all of your wiring installed correctly! view full answer...
I reached out to the manufacturer, Advent, to try and get a specific answer for you, and they said they haven't been able to test specific Dometic compatibility in some time so would not be able to verify. What they said was you'll need to check your distribution box to see if it has the 6-pin plug like in the photo I attached.
If it does then you can use either the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner - 13,500 Btu # ACM135 or 15,000 Btu # ACM150.
They will then both be compatible with the thermostat... view full answer...
Hey Jose, we actually have the Dometic 15k Advent Air setup as a kit to replace the Dometic units with the part # ACDOM150. This comes with the correct adapter you'd need for an easier install as well like you asked about. view full answer...
I do see you got the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System # FR52PR from us last year. To switch to a thermostat control you will need a Thermostat # FR33PR, Controller # FR43PR and Air Distribution Box # FR57PR. view full answer...
As you are adding the Advent Air Low Profile RV Air Conditioner # ADV89FR to an opening on your RV which did not already have an AC you will need to select from one of the 2 options. First is the manually controlled Air Distribution Box # ACDB. This has the manual dial you will switch on and off as needed. The other option is the Air Distribution Box w/ Wall-Mounted Thermostat # ACRG15. This is typically more convenient and necessary on taller campers where you cannot easily reach the ceiling... view full answer...
