Hi Steve,
There is not a trailer end 4-round that comes with the wiring attached, just the plug version, the Pollak Heavy-Duty, 4-Pole, Round Pin Trailer Wiring Connector - Metal - Trailer End # PK11402. view full answer...
For the wires coming from the brakes they do not matter as they connect to the magnets in the drum brakes which are not polarity specific. So one wire from each brake will connect to the frame/ground wire as a ground and the 2nd wire will connect to the positive wires coming from the 7-way.
The brown wires running through the axle are simply put there by the axle manufacturer so you do not have to run wiring down both sides of the frame.
As for the 2 white wires on your 5th wheel you... view full answer...
To get a 7/4 connector on your 2018 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Steve, you are going to have to combine the Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness # TK22115 with the 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket # HM40975. The connector will connect directly to the Tekonsha wiring. If you are going to need a brake controller check out the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller for Tekonsha Harness # RED63RR as it will plug directly into the harness included from Tekonsha. view full answer...
Hi Nichole,
The Hidden Hitch by Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT38GR doesn't come with a wire harness included so you would need to pick up the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118467 for your 2015 Subaru Outback. This wire harness will only take a few minutes to install, just pull up a few pieces of trim in the rear hatch area and plug it right in. I've attached a video below where Randy will walk you through the installation process. view full answer...
Hi Matt,
The Drive Wireless RV Backup Camera System # 324-000002 would not be compatible with the Furrion mount on the back of your trailer so you'd have to remove it and screw the included mounting bracket to the wall of the trailer. You'd also likely have a hole, or multiple, to fill from the old bracket so I recommend picking up some gasket maker to prevent any water from getting in.
The PWM wiring issue is more so with the truck and not the trailer or camera. Essentially the truck... view full answer...
Hey Tommie,
Brake controllers are a pretty universal fit so we'll still have what you need even though your vehicle isn't in our Fitguide. With a Ford E-350 cab and chassis you should be able to use the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C55344 to get a 4-way connector for your lights. This wire harness plugs inline with the factory tail light wiring.
From there you'll need to install the # ETBC7 to get a 7-way socket on the back of your motorhome.... view full answer...
Hey Sue I went ahead and checked, and it does not look like there is a plug and play wiring adapter for your 2024 Subaru Ascent unfortunately.
It looks like in order to use the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller # TK90160 you're going to have to use the included universal wiring harness.
You could also use the Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller # C51180 which plugs into your factory 7 way, so it wouldn't require any splicing or cutting into your wiring. view full answer...
Hey Chad,
A plug-and-play wiring harness is not included, though you can get one for your 2015 Chevy Silverado and the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195.
All you need is the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers # 3016. view full answer...
Jason, that's going to be a 15 amp fuse and it is included with the Tekonsha Powered Tail Light Converter w/ 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector and Install Kit # 119147KIT. view full answer...
Hey Lawrence,
That is correct, solar panels systems are simply to recharge the battery and wouldn't directly power anything. They'll run directly to the battery bank. The Zamp inlet you have most likely is just a 2-pole SAE connector with a positive and negative wire ran directly to the battery for you plug in a portable solar panel system. An Inverter takes power from your battery bank and increases it from 12v to 120v so that you can run larger appliances without shore/generator power.... view full answer...
Due to having the cutaway chassis on your 2011 Chevrolet Express 3500 you are going to want to look at either the Draw-Tite Receiver # 41990-07 with 7" mounting brackets or the # 41990-16 with 16" tall mounting brackets. The height of the brackets will depend on the height of your frame from where you would like the receiver to sit. These can be bolted on but welding is the preferred method.
You will want to check your wiring to see if it included the round connector for a 7-Way # 30955... view full answer...
Hello again, Janine. It looks like you are on the right track here, because the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7 is exactly what you will need to convert the 4-pin on your 2003 Ford E350 to a 7-pin. This kit will come with everything you need, included the necessary wires for installing a brake controller.
For a brake controller I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195. I like this controller because it has large, accessible buttons and an LCD display which make operation simple.... view full answer...
