For a Furrion Fireplace like the # FF30SC15ABL the 88 error code is caused by inadequate airflow or overheating. Check the inlets and outlets of the fireplace to make sure they are clean and nothing is blocking them. Removing the cover and then the mounting screws will allow you to pull the unit out and access the power cord. Once you unplug it let it sit for 15-20 minutes to reset.
