The 18.5x8.5-8 is an old tire size that is not used much anymore, they are bias ply tires but can still be used on pavement. We normally recommend radial tires for highway traveling because they flex easier which dissipates heat better. Before radials existed Bias trailer tires were used on the highway all the time. What would really make a difference is the speed rating, you can normally find the speed rating stamped on the side wall of the tire.
