The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver item # 75916 does fit your 2016 Volvo S60 T6 AWD. It doesn't require any drilling but you will have to make a 2" x 2" cut for the receiver tube to extend below your Volvo's trim. If you have the factory 4-way installed on your XC60 then you can use a Brake Controller 7 & 4 Way Installation Kit - 10 Gauge, item # ETBC7, to complete the wiring for a 7-way connector and a brake controller. To install the Curt Trailer Hitch, # 12287, on your 2007 Volvo S-80, you will need to temporarily lower the exhaust in order to attach the hitch to the vehicle frame. After the hitch is in place the exhaust will be put back in its original position. A heat shield will also have to be temporarily bent, also to allow the hitch to raise into position. It looks like there is a positive terminal connection near the fuse box under the hood of your 2022 Volvo XC40 Recharge that you would use for a jump start situation. The brake controllers available now either are only on when they are activated, or a have a timed shut-off or idle state after a certain time period. Some of the older brake controllers never shut-off, but they did not drain battery power as the only component that would be on is a low amperage LED indicating that the controller has power or whether or not it was connected to a trailer.

Typically the location of the stop light switch is up and behind the brake pedal but you would need to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2979 to verify which one it is.
The wire you are looking for will show power only when the brake pedal is pressed. If you check out the installation video (23:40 mark) that I attached you can see this testing being done on a 2012 Volvo XC90.

The Curt Trailer Hitch, # 13559, on the 2004 Volvo XC90 will not interfere with the spare tire. The spare tire is removed before the hitch is installed to allow easier access to the mounting locations on the vehicles frame. After the hitch is installed then the spare tire can be put back in place.
The installation video of the hitch on the 2010 Volvo XC90 did not show them removing the spare tire or reinstalling it after installation.

When you have a trunk mounted bike rack like the Yakima FullBack 3 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount # Y02633 it isn't recommended to open the hatch with the bike rack installed. There is always a possibility of issues with the fasteners causing damage if the rack isn't removed prior to opening the hatch.

To run the hot lead wire to your battery from the trunk, I recommend running the wire under the car versus inside the cabin of your vehicle and then back out. You will use existing grommets where available and then follow other wires through the channel up the firewall and to your battery. I recommend using zip ties to secure the wire as needed. I recommend using the fuse near the battery for easy access.

Installing the Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver # SH77FR on a 2021 Volvo XC40 does indeed require trimming for the install, which is listed after entering your vehicle information. The hands-free trunk release cable holder is not removed, but is relocated. I included a few pictures from the instructions showing what would need to be done.

You might need to use a trim panel removal tool like our part # ALL648544 to get the connector disconnected from your vehicle body on your 2009 Volvo XC90. A flathead screwdriver might work as well.
