If it were my Passat, I would go with the EcoHitch # 306-X7317 because of the options it gives for accessories. The install is more involved than others, but I think this is the best choice. I spoke with my contact at Curt to see why their trailer hitch # C11234, or any other hitch for that matter, is not compatible with the Technology Package on your 2017 Volkswagen Passat and he said that there is a big pad of sensors in the bumper that are in the way. It isn't the sensors for opening the rear hatch with your foot though. Because of this there are no trailer hitch options for the Technology Package.

A majority of the A-frame jacks we offer have a 2-1/4 inch diameter outer tube. Those remain fairly consistent for jacks that range from 750 lbs to 5000 lbs weight capacity. We currently do not offer any jacks with a 1-7/8 inch diameter outer tube.
