The Dee Zee Custom-Fit Truck Bed Mat, part # DZ87021, does have a rubber smell, I read someone liken the smell to cheap tires. The smell should dissipate over time. I did included a video review link below and the smell of this item is not mentioned at any time during the video. view full answer...
WeatherTech doesn't pre-cut the mat for the bed mounted pucks of the Ford OEM tow prep package, you'll need to cut the holes yourself. As you can see in the photo I've provided, WeatherTech clearly marks where you'd need to trim the mat. view full answer...
The Access EZ-Retriever # A50710 you were looking at is just a retrieval tool and would require the Access G2 Galvanized Truck Bed Storage Pockets # A60070 in order to hold items in place near the tailgate. Both ends of the tool are rubberized to prevent scratches when trying to grab items further in the bed.
A rubber mat like the Westin Custom Fit Truck Bed Mat # W55XV would also help prevent items from shifting around in the bed. I have a ratcheting bar like part # 08908 in my Silverado... view full answer...
Depending on your tailgate mat will determine the installation hardware and method for install on your 1999 Chevrolet Silverado Fleet side. We have the DeeZee # DZ86700 and Westin # 50-6515 which are rubber mats. These attach by drilling holes into the tailgate and using screws to hold the mat in place. We also have the BedRug # BMC99TG mat which uses adhesive hook and loop fastener strips to secure to the tailgate. view full answer...
I spoke with BedRug and they said yes the VanTred Custom Floor Mat # VTMS06L is a cargo mat, and that it should not damage your floor. However, it may create an indentation in your floor where the pallet was and it would be permanent. view full answer...
There are no installation instructions for the Ribbed Rubber Trailer Mat, part # 3622RM. As far as traction, it would make sense that installing the mat with the ribs running horizontal would provide a bit more traction than vertical, but I have not heard anyone mention traction issues with the mats installed. If the ribs are running vertical on a ramp it would allow water or snow to run off the mat which could help.
This mat measures 36-inches wide and 22-feet long, so you can cut the... view full answer...
The VanTred Custom Floor Mat for Cargo Vans - Black - Thermoplastic # VTMS06L doesn't have a R Value rating that I'm aware of. It insulates some for sound but as to the cold/heat insulation it is a 1/2 inch thick thermoplastic so not a whole lot of difference with heat and cold. view full answer...
The cargo management rails that our truck bed bike rack selection guide is referring to are side-rails that are installed on the inside of the truck bed frame rails. With these internal side rails installed you can add cross bars which will then give you two layers of cargo carrying ability. These rails are typically dealer installed and are not offered with all makes and models of trucks. I could not find where Toyota has these rails however this is an option on Ford trucks and Nissan... view full answer...
Yes, there is a difference in hitches for an 8' bed on your 2022 Chevrolet Silverado like the B&W Companion # BWRVK3710, which is a fixed hitch. Fixed hitches are used primarily on long bed trucks, and sliding hitches like the Demco Hijacker # DM8550034 are used short bed trucks. The reason being is because, due to the shorter bed length, the hitch is installed closer to the cab, reducing the turning radius significantly, whereas, the long bed trucks install the hitch farther from the cab,... view full answer...
According to my representative at Carr, the number you referenced, # 1272 is a casting number that does not have anything to do with the the fit of the step or a particular step model number.
The # CARR124871 would be the correct step for the rear doors of your F250 SD, in fact it can be used under any of the doors. However, it would require drilling to install. The # CARR125001 is a no-drill application that would use existing holes.
I have linked you to the installation details for... view full answer...
I see you got the RockyMounts LoBall Bike Rack for Truck Bed # RKY1097. We do not have a kayak or surfboard carrier that mounts in the truck bed like the RockyMounts.
If you are not installing a roof rack to carry the kayak or surfboard we do have a way to carry them in the bed of your truck. We carry tailgate pads like part # SR26457 for full-size and part # S64761 for mid-size trucks. These are pads that are attached to the tailgate and you then carry the board or kayak as shown in the... view full answer...
Turning clearance is always going to be best with a long bed truck. Trucks with long beds are more designed for towing, and there are less of them on the market today because more people are buying trucks for reasons other than towing. If I were choosing a bed length to tow a 5th wheel camper, I would definitely go with a long bed because it will most easily offer sufficient turning clearance.
Some 5th wheel campers have a nose that is specially designed to work with short bed trucks.... view full answer...
To determine the size of your truck bed, you will want to measure the inside of the truck bed from front to back. Most accessory companies round off their measurements to the nearest half-foot so your measurement may not exactly match the options that we have listed.
The GM Cargo Management System is a rail system which runs the length of the bed sides and behind the cab.

If you have a truck like a 2009 Ford F-150 with an 8 ft bed, the Reese fifth wheel hitch, part # RP30047 will work well for you. The hitch alone weighs approximately 81 lbs.
For the same truck I recommend using a custom installation kit with the rails, part # RP50081-58. The weight of this kit is right at 61 lbs, so the two items added together weigh 142 lbs.
If your truck has a short bed, you would need to either install a sidewinder pin box or use a slider fifth wheel hitch in the... view full answer...
