  • Dimensions Of The Thule Evo Raised Rail Feet
  • I pulled the Thule Evo Raised Rail Feet # TH710401 for you specifically to check these measurements. From the bottom of the foot pack to the bottom of the crossbar will be about 3-3/8 inches and about 2-1/4" from the bottom of the foot to where your raised side rail will sit.

  • Ground Clearance between Trailer Hitch and Ground on a 2009 Subaru Forester
  • Part # D-4 is a ball mount and not a hitch. When installed in a 2 inch trailer hitch the bottom of it will be roughly an inch below the bottom of the receiver. When we installed Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 75650 on a 2009 Subaru Forester we found that from the ground to the top of the receiver opening was 14 inches. That means to the bottom of the receiver would be approximately 11-1/2 inches and to the bottom of ball mount # D-4 in the drop position would be about 10-1/2 inches (in the...

  • Bumper Clearance on RockyMounts West Slope 2 on 2017 Subaru Forester
  • I have a solution for you, but because the RockyMounts West Slope 2 Bike Rack # RKY10222 only has 5" of clearance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bike rack when folded up, it may not be the best choice. I recommend going with the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider 2 # HR200Z is going to provide you with 12-1/8" of clearance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the rack when folded up, but is going to stick out 30" from the rear of your vehicle...

  • Center Bolt Size on #SP-113275 Leaf Spring
  • 3-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 2,000-lb Trailer Axles - 23-1/2" Long # SP-113275 doesn't have a traditional bolt but it does have a threaded shaft and nut on the bottom. It is more like a plug on the top for the spring seat of your axle to rest. The length is 1-3/4 inches overall and it is 3/8 inch diameter by 20 threads and sticks out 1/2 inch from the bottom of the spring stack.

  • Can 2017 Subaru Forester XT Be Used to Carry 290 lb Dirt Bike
  • For max tongue weight you will need to stay under the least rated component so even though the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98839 has a 525 lb tongue weight rating, I looked in the online owner's manual for your 2017 Subaru Forester XT and it looks like the max tongue weight they list for a trailer is 200 lbs so I can't recommend using anything where the carrier and cargo exceed that limit. For your application it would be better to install wiring as well and then transport your...

  • Would 2 inch Hitch of 2015 Subaru Forester Have Capacity for Kuat NV 4 Bike Rack NV22G-NA22G
  • 2 inch hitches generally have quite a bit of tongue weight capacity but you might still check the capacity of the hitch you have installed on your 2015 Subaru Forester to make sure the weight of the Kuat NV 2.0 part # NV22G-NA22G plus your bikes would not exceed the capacity. The NV itself has a weight of 108 lbs. The 2 inch hitches we have for your vehicle like the # e98839 have a tongue weight capacity of 525 lbs which would be more than adequate.

  • Recommended Hitch and Wiring Harness for a 2024 Subaru Forester
  • To add a hitch to your 2024 Subaru Forester, I recommend the etrailer item # e83ZR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Subaru with included hardware. The etrailer Hitch item # e83ZR is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 3,500 lbs towing capacity and a 525 lbs maximum tongue weight. For a 4-way wiring harness you will want the Curt Item # C56040. This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the interior trim panel in...

  • What is the Diameter of a Locking Pin for a 1-1/4 Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver
  • Trailer hitches with a 1-1/4 inch receiver require a 1/2 inch diameter hitch pin. If you want a locking hitch pin, I recommend looking at the etrailer Receiver Lock, # e98880. I have also attached a link to all of the locking hitch pins we carry for a 1-1/4 inch trailer hitch receiver.

  • Weight of Draw-Tite # 76182 and EcoHitch # 306-X7216 for 2018 Subaru Forester
  • The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76182 weighs right at 35 pounds. The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch # 306-X7216 is just a tad heavier at 37.5 pounds. Both hitches are confirmed to fit your 2018 Subaru Forester and feature a similar hidden design where only the receiver is visible behind the vehicle. Between the two options I recommend going with the Draw-Tite # 76182 because it features a higher tongue weight capacity of 525 pounds (compared to 350 on the EcoHitch) and...

  • How Heavy of a Trailer Can a 2017 Subaru Forester Tow
  • You may be able to tow a pop up trailer with your 2017 Subaru Forester if it is a small camper. When you have a trailer hitch installed on your Subaru Forester, like the Draw-Tite # 75876, your vehicle is rated to tow a trailer weighing up to 1,000 lbs according to page 8-19 of your owner's manual. If the trailer has brakes and you have a brake controller, like the Prodigy P3 # 90195, installed to utilize the brakes then the max trailer weight is increased to 1,500 lbs. For a Forester...

  • Will the Thule EasyFold or Yakima OnRamp Bike Racks Work w/ a Class I Hitch?
  • The Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack item # TH903202 is compatible with class I hitches that have the stop tab welded inside the receiver. The Easyfold requires a minimum of 1-1/2" from the hitch pin hole to the edge of the receiver. The Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack item # Y96FR only works with class II hitches so you won't be able to use this bike rack with your Class I hitch. It will be stopped by the welded tabs before you can insert the hitch pin.

  • Clearance Between Vehicle Sunroof and Roof Rack Crossbars of Inno Square Bar Roof Rack
  • Roof rack makers generally do not recommend operating a vehicle's sunroof when an aftermarket roof rack is installed. Even if there is no clearance issue between the bottom of the crossbars and the top of the sunroof there would be a lot of noise from wind turbulence at the bars that would likely make you want to keep the sunroof closed anyway. Also note that any roof-rack-mount accessory item you might install on the crossbars - say a bike rack or cargo carrier - will use some type of...
