Depending on how your vehicle is wired for a trailer brake controller will determine if the center light on your Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller # 90885 will stay on. Some vehicles will always provide power to the controller as it is fused straight from the vehicle battery. Others will use a relay which will only allow power to reach the controller when it senses the ignition is switched on. view full answer...
If your 7-way only has the 4-pole connector running to it and there isn't a fused line ran from it to the battery then you only have light functions going back to the trailer and nothing sending power for the brake controller to actually function. You need some 10 gauge wire # 10-1-1 and will need to connect it to the pin in the 1 o'clock position when looking at the face of the 7-way connector on the CX-9 (11 o'clock position from the back side). Looks like you have plenty of clearance for a larger tire and wheel setup but without being able to measure for you it's hard to say from here. Your current tire overall diameter is 21.9 inches and the width is right at 5.3 inches. Also looks like you have the standard 5 lug bolt pattern. So a 205/75-14 tire is going to give you an overall diameter of 26.3 inches and have an overall width of 7.99 inches and most likely would fit well. For that we have the Tire and Wheel combo part # AM32161... view full answer...
