You might want to consult the owner's manual on your 2013 Ram 1500 because sometimes there is more than one fuse for a brake controller and there could also be a relay. Some brake controllers do not work well with electric-over-hydraulic (EOH) trailer braking systems. These systems present a very different electrical load than electric drum brakes and some controllers cannot properly recognize them.
