Even though your 2017 Nissan Titan doesn't have the tow package it should still have the standard round connector to install trailer wiring behind the rear bumper. In order for a brake controller to work with any trailer, the trailer must be equipped with working brakes.
If you have an idler axle on your trailer you may want to consider adding brakes to be able to handle the heavy boat. My recommendation is to add electric over hydraulic disc brakes to your trailer. I have attached a helpful article you can check out.

I do have an alternative option for you but unfortunately there have never been any custom fit towing mirrors for a Nissan Titan (even up to the newest models of the Titan).
Since you had a bad experience with the type that use clips and straps to secure around your side mirrors I recommend using the Wheel Masters Eagle Vision Universal Extendable Towing Mirrors # WM6600-2 instead because they use hooks, straps, and a ratchet to secure to the door of your 2008 Nissan Titan.

We have just what you're looking for with the Hopkins Factory Style 7-Way and 4-Way Flat Vehicle End Trailer Connector # N40975, which will plug into the factory connector on the rear of your truck and comes with the towing relays that you need. Firestone has put together a chart/list that you can use to help you determine what kind of spacer you need. I recommend using a Rhino-Rack set up for your application. This includes the Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRVA150B-2, the 2500 Series Legs # RRRLKVA, and the DK Fit Kit # DK468 for the roof rack. Then you need the Rhino-Rack T-Load Hitch Mounted Load Assist and Support Bar # RTL002 which fits a 2" hitch.

I have a solution for you, but the CIPA # CM11401 is designed to fit on mirrors for Dodge Ram trucks. Unfortunately there are not a slip-on style mirror available for your Nissan Titan, so I instead recommend using the CIPA Universal Towing Mirrors # CM11980-2 which are a universal fit towing mirror that will fit on your 2007 truck.

If you have a 2007 Nissan Titan or Frontier and the truck has a factory installed 7-Way trailer connector all you will need is the brake controller and vehicle specific wiring harness. I recommend going with a proportional brake controller that engages the trailer brakes in proportion to how much the truck is breaking.
