These chains offer tons of clearance to the wheel wheel and to the inside so they won't come into contact with brake and suspension components. The controller would mount directly to your trailer tongue, the trailer's 7-way would plug into the unit, and the unit itself would plug directly into the 7-way on your vehicle.
