With our Etrailer # e36RR, Curt # C78KR and Draw-Tite # 75234 receivers which fit your 2018 Lincoln MKX Reserve they all have a similar build. When we installed the Curt on a 2017 MKX it had a ground clearance at the chain hooks of 8" from the ground. Do understand this can vary slightly from vehicle to vehicle depending on the vehicle loading and condition of the suspension. This will be enough clearance for parking curbs and speed bumps depending on how much rear sag you may have.

In order to find the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole on the Draw-Tite Max-E-Loader Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 41116-011 to the outermost edge of the bumper on your 2004 Lincoln Town Car you will need to measure from the pre-drilled hole in the frame (see photo) out to the end of your bumper. Rear suspension enhancement will not increase the tongue weight capacity of a vehicle. They will only reduce the amount of sag in the rear suspension. I looked up the owners manual for your 2008 MKX and it looks like the maximum tongue weight capacity for your vehicle 350 lbs no matter what additional components are used.
