Thanks for that excellent info, and we do have an option for you, though the Dexter E-Z Flex # K71-656-00 actually has two different size equalizers, one that is 7-1/4" long and the other that is 5-3/4" long (from bolt hole to bolt hole) so because yours are both just over 7" you'll need a different kit.

The absolute best replacement pin box for giving you more turning clearance and cushioning the ride quality is the Reese Sidewinder 5th Airborne part # RP61412 but with this you have to use a fixed fifth wheel hitch and not an automatic sliding hitch. I reached out to my contact at Lippert and based on the NV 248685 your 7000lb Lippert axle uses inner bearing # 25580, outer bearing # 14125A, and grease seal # GS-2250DL.
Now this grease seal has a 2.250" I.D. which is the same as the seal you purchased, so I do not have a good answer to why yours is not fitting as that is what your axle was designed to use.

When choosing upgraded equalizers for your trailer it is important to pick one that is the same size or as close as possible to your current equalizers. Since you found that the equalizer you have now is 6" horizontally from bolt hole to bolt hole I would not recommend the # K71-653-00 which is 7-11/16" long.
