The weight capacity listed for cables is for the pair. For example the Blue Ox 7' Safety Cables - 7,500lbs # BX88196 you referenced would have a 3,750lb capacity per cable. Since Roadmaster doesn't have a 7,500lb cable I'm assuming you're referencing the RoadMaster 76" Single Hook, Straight Safety Cables # RM-645-76. I've drawn up some dimensions for these two cables as well as the Demco Coiled Safety Cables # DM9523003 you referenced below. view full answer...
The Curt Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables with S-Hooks # C80176 has the weight capacity of 7500 lbs rated on using both safety cables. Individually, they would logically be 1/2 that capacity but using only one cable is not recommended so they are not individually rated at all. view full answer...
The Curt Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables with S-Hooks part # C80176 have a combined weight capacity of 7,500 lbs. The only option if you need to go much higher are safety chains like the Safety Chain with Clevis Hook part # 63451. I have attached our full list of safety chains below. view full answer...

Fulton offers a safety chain rated at 18,800-lbs. This has a clevis hook on one end and measures 42-inches in length. You will need two. The part # is FCHA0050324. view full answer...

The Demco Straight Safety Cables part # DM9523051 measures 54" from the center of one loop end to the center of the other. This is how all safety cables are measured. In regards to the s-hook, the center of the open end to the center of the closed end is about 1-1/2" but this is a rather hard measurement to get precise as there isn't really a center point of the s-hook to measure from. I hope this helps. view full answer...
I had the end loops of the Curt safety cables, part # C80176, measured for you. At their widest points the inside measurement is 3/4 of an inch and the outside is 1-1/2 inches. view full answer...
I do have a recommendation for you as the RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables # RM-643 only have a 5/8" wide opening that is 1-1/4" long. This is a common size since our safety cables are designed for flat towing and often have to fit through small openings.
We do have the 12" # DM9523064 and 18" # DM9523065 extensions which you can attach to your current safety cables to get the length you need. These include 1 hook for each cable to attach to your tow vehicle and your existing... view full answer...
I have attached a dimensional photo of the Curt Single Hook Coiled Safety Cables with S-Hooks part # C80151 and the larger Curt Single Hook Coiled Safety Cables with S-Hooks part # C80176 for you as it would be a bit difficult to explain the dimensions via text. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask. The 6,000 lb rating of the Coiled Safety Cables # RM-643 is for the set. Technically they are both rated for 6,000 lbs but since these are there in case of a worst-case scenario you don't want to exceed the 6,000 lbs (in case one were to break).
If you like the look and function of the coiled safety cables then we do have the Curt # C80176 which are rated for 7,500 lbs. These are 42" long as opposed to the 62" long cables you referenced but if you are using them for towing a trailer 42"... view full answer...
I'm not 100 percent certain if you are asking what the rating is or stating what the rating is for a cable, but the bottom line is that the Roadmaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables # RM-643 are rated for 6,000 lbs each, but that does not mean two of them give you a 12,000 lb capacity because if one were to break the capacity is 6,000 lbs and that is what the rating is for.
I have added a link to a video review of these cables for you as well as a link to our entire selection of... view full answer...
