I spoke with my contact at Thule. She went and measured a Hitching Post Pro 4 Bike Rack, # TH934XTR from the hitch pin hole to the end of the arms. She came up with approximately 38-1/2 inches. The cradles can be slid a little back and forth on the arms.
Another important factor is the length of the bikes you put on it so take that into consideration when making calculations. I have included a link to a video for this bike rack. view full answer...
The Yakima RidgeBack 5 part # Y02459 does fit in the etrailer hitch # e98840 that you mentioned. The hitch pin minimum dimension that this rack mentions is basically for the Subaru factory hitches which have an unusually shallow hitch pin dimension. view full answer...

I have attached a link to our installation video for this trailer hitch on a 2006 Honda Pilot you can check out.
As you can see in the video at about the 15 second mark the distance form the top of the # 13328 hitch receiver opening to the ground is 18 inches. This may vary based on the tires and wheels you have on your vehicle but this does give you a pretty good idea what that distance is.
If you plan on doing some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900.... view full answer...
The actual distance from the ground to the bottom of the receiver tube on Curt Class III hitch # C13146 depends on a few things, including passenger and cargo load, the inflation pressure and the tire tread depth, and sometimes the tire size on the car. When we installed this hitch on a 2016 Pilot the bottom of the receiver tube was approximately 12-1/4-inches above level ground when the vehicle was unoccupied.
Your 2017 Honda Pilot came with a choice of two tire sizes, 245/50-20 and 245/60-18.... view full answer...
Ideally you would want a wider crossbar spread to support the weight more evenly when using a cargo basket. As long as the bulk of the weight is more centered, the overhang should not be a problem. Make sure though that the weight in the basket is within the rack and roof capacities, which ever is lower.
The vehicle roof rack and roof capacities may be in the owners manual or could be obtained by contacting Honda. view full answer...

The hitch pin holes will not be covered by the etrailer Rubber Hitch Cover for 2" Trailer Hitches # 22282 when inserted into your hitch as it will go in 1 inch. That's true of all hitch covers though as they do not go in the hitch far enough to cover the hitch pin holes, just the face of the hitch as that is the largest overall open area of the hitch. view full answer...
The Curt Spectrum Trailer Brake Controller # C51170 has a wiring harness that is 48 inches long between the knob and the concealed box. I reached out to the manufacturer to confirm that measurement for you.
If you have the factory 7-way on your 2016 Honda Pilot then you will simply use the Custom wiring harness # C51392 which has a 24 inch length to connect your controller to your factory wiring harness.
If you do not have the factory 7-way, then you will want the universal wiring harness... view full answer...
We've got one that is close enough I am more than confident it will fit. It is the Double Lip Grease Seal item # 34823 you were looking at. It has a 1.249" inside diameter and 1.983" outside diameter. The few thousandths of an inch this is off of your 12194TC TCM oil won't affect it functioning correctly. view full answer...

We don't carry the bike rack you referenced, but if the extender installs onto the rack as a solid piece then no, your tongue weight rating would not be affected. If its just a tube that slides into your hitch and then the rack installs into that loosely you would lose 50 percent of your tongue weigh rating.
For more information on hitch extenders check out the FAQ article I attached on them. view full answer...
What you could do is use a spacer between the bottom of your trailer frame and the bottom bolt of the frame bracket of the Husky Centerline System part # HT32216 and you'd be good. 3 inches tall is a bit too small, but with a metal spacer you'd be fine. view full answer...

The Thule Hullavator Kayak Carriers # TH898 weigh 40-lbs each by themselves so the two empty carriers alone will consume half of the Pilot's rated 165-lb roof capacity. While there are some lightweight kayaks out there most weigh 40-lbs or more apiece.
Apart from the weight concern there is the matter of space; each Hullavator requires 28.5-inches of space on the crossbars so the Pilot would have to be fitted with at least 57 inch long bars. The Hullavator also requires 4-8 inches of crossbar... view full answer...
We don't have information on how much clearance the Swagman Chinook 2 # S64683 is going to have when tilted away from your 2020 Honda Pilot, since that's going to be fairly vehicle specific, but I can tell you that the closest part of rack when measured from the center of the hitch pin is 12-1/2". When you fold the rack up towards the vehicle for storage, the closest part of the rack will be 6" from the center of the hitch pin hole. In most cases you'll be able to tilt the rack away from... view full answer...
