Based on your trailer's set up you will need to go with bolt-on chain hangers for Weight Distribution Systems, part # RP58305. These will bolt onto the side of the trailer frame. You wouldn't want to use the same 12 volt power wire for the 7-way to install the Prodigy RF part # TK94FR and the 4-way kit you have as well. Your best option would be to use the part # 10-2-1. Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement Systems like the part # THROD2 do a really nice job of providing additional support for heavier cargo or tongue weight from a trailer, however there is still going to be a gap between the spring and contact point when mounted. This simply means that the rear of your Odyssey is still going to drop/sag with the trailer hooked up before the Timbren springs are engaged.

Since you already have an air bag system # AL60815 installed on the 2008 Honda Odyssey I would just fix the leak and add a compressor, # AL25592. The air bag system will allow you to tweak the ride quality whereas Timbren springs will just be engaged all the time and could cause a stiffer ride.

The Draw-Tite part # 75270 would install pretty easily on your 2015 Honda Odyssey. Using a lift like what we show in our install videos would not be necessary. We use lifts to make filming the install easier.
Your idea of backing over a curb to give you more clearance is a great idea. Be sure to set the emergency brake and chock the front tires though for added safety.

The keys for selecting a weight distribution (WD) system are to confirm that your 2-inch hitch is rated for use with such systems (check its safety/warning sticker) and to measure your fully loaded trailer's actual tongue weight (TW). To that you will add the weight of anything in the vehicle's cargo area that sits behind the rear axle - say a generator or loaded cooler - which together give you your total TW figure. I suspect your issue is related to the red wire of the controller. It needs to be connected to a circuit that only sees 12 volts when the brake are depressed. My theory is yours is connected to at circuit that is hot all the time but you can test the controller to verify it's not the problem.
