  • Recommended Grease to Lubricate Hitch Ball of Weight Distribution System
  • To lubricate the hitch ball for your Andersen Weight Distribution System I recommend using White Grease # 58117. This particular grease is designed specifically for this type of application and will do a great job of reducing friction and protecting the ball from wear. We do not currently carry Andersen WD Systems but I did track down an owner's manual and it did not mention any other parts of the system that should be lubricated.

  • How to Determine Correct Shackle Strap Length with 2 Different Shackle Straps on Trailer
  • Did the previous owner swap out the shackle straps so that one leaf spring has 4" long straps and the other leaf spring has 2-1/2" long straps or are the varying strap lengths on just one leaf spring? If they are both on one leaf spring then you can simply look at the leaf spring on the other side of your trailer to determine the correct length. If the varying lengths are on 2 separate leaf springs then you will simply need to determine which one would allow your leaf spring to sit slightly...

  • Load Range E Tire and Wheel Recommendation for a 2013 Forest River Wildwood X-Lite Travel Trailer
  • You can definitely upgrade to a larger tire size as long as you have at least 4" of clearance above your current tire. For a 10-ply tire you need a Load Range E rating which is only available on a larger size tire like ST225/75R15. Here are the tire and wheel that I recommend for your 2013 Forest River Wildwood X-Lite Travel Trailer: - Karrier ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range E # AM10303 - Dexstar Steel Spoke Trailer Wheel # AM20522 This white wheel should be pretty identical...

  • What Travel Trailer Approved Bike Rack do You Recommend for Heavy E-Bikes?
  • For a great solution for a rack that works with both your Subaru Forester and your travel trailer, the only solution we have works with the batteries removed from your e-bikes. Here at etrailer, we recommend doing this anyways because of the potential for damage caused to the batteries during transport. For that solution, I recommend the Swagman E-Spec Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 2" Hitches # S94FR. The E-Spec is designed for brute strength to withstand the added torque and force exerted...

  • How To Determine Weight Distribution Hitch Fit for 2020 Forest River Wildwood XLite
  • In order to find a weight distribution hitch for your 2020 Forest River Wildwood you will need to know your tongue weight. Tongue weight is the most important factor when it comes to determining the correct system. Tongue weight is typically 10-15% of your trailer weight. Ideally you want your actual tongue weight to be somewhere in the middle of the range of the weight distribution system. The Reese Pro Round Bar Weight Distribution w Sway Control # RE44FR has a tongue weight range of...

  • What Usually Powers Trailer Lights
  • Depends on the application but for an RV most of the time a light like the # DI98VR is going to be powered by the main battery/AC power converter if it's like a utility light or a clearance light. If it's used as a turn signal it would be powered by the trailer wiring.

  • Do The OE Steps Need To Be Removed To Install Lippert SolidStep RV Steps # LC713662?
  • You do not have to remove the factory folding steps to install the Lippert SolidStep RV Steps # LC713662. We do have the MORryde Locking RV Storage Box # MR43RR if you want to replace them with something you will be able to use. I find this is a great place to store wheel chocks, landing pads and levelers which you need before the steps are folded down and block the storage box.

  • Picking Out Replacement Axle for Trailer
  • If only the axle is bent then you can go with just a new axle and reuse all of the other components like the hubs, bearings, brake assemblies, etc. To pick out the correct replacement axle you will need to get the hub face to hub face dimension of your axle as well as the spring seat center to spring seat center and the axle weight capacity. I don't have a way to look that up so you'd have to get me that info and I can see if it's an axle we carry or one that you'd have to order locally....

  • Does Wiper Technologies Heavy Duty Windshield Wiper 28 Blade Fit Wide Saddle Mount
  • The Wiper Technologies Heavy Duty Windshield Wiper Blade # WPR56FR fits an arm with a 1/2" blade saddle. A wide saddle mount covers a variety of widths, so it is best to know what mount you actually have. If you're looking for a 28" blade the # CP77281 fits a 1/2" - 5/8" wide saddle. If you have a 21mm wide saddle you will have to go with a slightly longer wiper blade. The 32" Wiper Technologies Vented Windshield Wiper Blade # WPR76FR will fit a 21mm wide saddle mount.

  • Best Storage Cover for Snow/Wind on a 2018 Forest River Wildwood X-Lite 27RKSS
  • I would absolutely install a storage cover on your 2018 Forest River Wildwood X-Lite 27RKSS while not in use. If you choose not to install a storage cover during harsh weather then you would be susceptible to leaks, deterioration of the roofing materials, and sun fading. The best storage cover we have for your type of environment is the Adco Olefin RV All-Climate Cover part # AD59ZR. The All-Climate Cover has a durable Olefin top which will be needed for climates with heavy snow as the...

  • Troubleshooting An Everchill RV Refrigerator Freezer That Isn't Maintaining Temperature
  • Hey Patty, If your Everchill Refrigerator # 324-000119 freezer section isn't staying cold and fluctuates in temperature then the only troubleshooting you'll be able to do is: 1. Check the power and ground at the unit. You should have the ground ran directly to the chassis of the trailer and should see 12 volts when checking the power with a multimeter # PT89ZR. 2. The drain line could be clogged or frozen over. You'll need to unplug the unit, open the doors, and let it thaw out. 3....

  • How To Eliminate Spoiled Food Odor From RV Refrigerator
  • I recommend to clean the inside of the Everchill Refrigerator for RVs part # 324-000119 with equal parts vinegar and soapy water. It is a good idea to take out all of the drawers and panels and clean them with vinegar and soapy water in the sink. After you have dried the inside of the fridge and all of it's pieces, leave an open container of baking soda in the fridge and the freezer for 48 hours to try to absorb the smell. The acidic vinegar breaks down the bacteria left behind from the...

  • Why Does Progressive Dynamics RV Power Control Center PD4135K Not Charge RV Batteries
  • When using an item like the Progressive Dynamics RV Power Control Center # PD4135K to charge your RV batteries it is important to confirm the batteries are a compatible type. This unit works with several battery types: flooded lead acid, AGM, and gel batteries. The instructions for this item are linked for reference. • Can The Everchill Refrigerator 324-000119 Be Hooked Up To 120 Volt
  • The Everchill Refrigerator for RVs part # 324-000119 is designed to run on 12 volts so no, it would not work on a 120 volt system. The benefit of the 12 volt instead of 120 volt is that you can use the refrigerator while traveling down the road because it is powered by the trailer's battery bank.

  • Can Furrion Vision S FOS05TASF Monitor be Put Inside Trailer
  • I suppose the monitor of the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System # FOS05TASF can be put inside your trailer if you can somehow find a way to add a plug-in 12 volt outlet like you mentioned. It would have to be connected to a 12 volt power source and not spliced to the camera wiring.
