It depends on how many axles you have. If you have two axles then yes it would be overloaded because that would be 7,000 pounds. If you have three axles you would be fine. Depending on what your bolt pattern is I would go up in axle capacity and put on a new axle like The Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with E-Z Lube Spindles # 8327816. Changing the spindle would not help.

Sounds like you want to put two bikes weighing 60 pounds each on the back of your trailer. First you need to contact Forest River to see what your bumper is rated to hold. I recommend first unmounting the stereo and pulling the fuse located on the back of the stereo to reset it. With this being such a specific issue if resetting the unit doesn't fix it then it will most likely need to be replaced.
