I spoke to my contact at Curt and he said that from the center of the hitch pin hole of the Curt Weight Distribution system part # C17051 to the center of the hitch ball will measure right at 11 inches. He said that from the pin hole to the end of the shank measures 8 inches.

When looking at weight capacities of a towing setup, you will always be limited by a system's weakest component. I took a look at the online owner's manual for your 2016 Chevrolet Traverse and saw that for a front-wheel drive model that does not have the factory trailer towing package, the maximum trailer weight is 2,000 pounds. It's very difficult to put a mileage expectation on trailer tires such as the Provider ST235/80R16 # TA39VR. Trailer tires are built with thicker side walls and are designed to carry heavy loads, so they aren't typically rated like vehicle tires. Usually, the expected life of a trailer tire will be around 5 or 6 years, depending on use, supported loads, travel speed, etc.
