The 2-inch hitches are reserved for vehicles that have higher towing capacities like SUVs and trucks. For your 2006 Ford Mustang you would be limited to a 1-1/4 inch hitch like the part # C11312. We do offer a few universal weld on hitches that you may be able to use. For example the Curt # C13702 can be adjusted to fit frames 18" to 51" wide. This is something that would need to be taken to a shop and fabricated to fit the back of your car.

I spoke with my contact at Thule and she stated that none of the trunk mount bike racks will fit on a 2006 Ford Mustang if it has a rear spoiler. The spoiler will interfere with the safe mounting of the bike rack.

The only base plates I show listed for a 1998 Mustang are the Roadmaster XL Base Plates, # 466-1, that you have referenced. These base plates will not fit an SVT or Cobra model.

First thing you need to do is check the owners manual of your 2011 Ford Mustang for any restrictions on running snow chains. I would hate to see you damage anything by attempting to run chains on a muscle car as nice as yours.

From what I could find out, the Draw-Tite Sportframe # 24928 will be a good fit for your 2021 Mustang GT convertible even with the quad exhaust tips. This will use the same size muffler so there will be no issues there.

Of the two bike racks you mentioned only the Saris Bones 2 bike rack part # SA805BL is confirmed to fit the convertible model of your 2011 Ford Mustang GT. For your 2010 Ford Mustang, I recommend using the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11048 which is a Class I hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver tube opening. As long as you do not have the GT/CS, California Special, Shelby GT, or GT500 edition then this hitch will work well for you. It is currently the only option we have for this vehicle. Curt hitches that are lower in capacity have the stabilizer strap recommendation because they just happen to be more cautious than Draw Tite and Hidden Hitch. By no means are they made lower quality. The USA-made Curt hitches are great and work well.
