With where the mounting holes are on the Gen-Y Pegasus Shock Absorbing Gooseneck Coupler # 325-GH-7007 you would not be able to mount it backwards on your gooseneck trailer. The holes don't directly line up in the center with this round tube style coupler. This would also not be the intended design of the manufacturer and could put too much stress on the frame, leaving you with damage to you trailer and no warranty to fall back on.

A heavy pin weight will cause degradation to happen faster. If you spend more time on dirt roads or in dirty/dusty environments this will all get on the lube plate and the weight of the pin will grind it down.

What you can do to keep the Rock Tamers Heavy-Duty, Adjustable Mud Flap System for 2" Hitches # ERT00108 from loosening up - along with torquing to spec - is apply some Loctite Blue Stick Threadlocker # LT37614.

Unfortunately, not only are the brackets vehicle specific, the grille guards themselves are vehicle specific as well. If you were to use the # 57-378PK brackets for a 2019 Chevy Silverado, there's no guarantee they'd be compatible with your existing grille guard.

It's rare, but possible the brand new magnets are all bad. Assuming you have tandem axles and a total of four 7,000 lb, 12 inch electric trailer brakes, you should be getting 15.0-16.3 amps at 12-13 volts. It is more likely the magnet's ground wire is weak; it's really important to have the ground attached to a clean bare metal surface - no paint, dirt, etc.
