I do have an option but I am not aware of any trailer brake wiring provision on a 2020 BMW X3 therefore none of the aftermarket brake controller manufactures offer a plug-in harness for this vehicle. That said, I still do have a completely plug-in-play brake controller option and that is with the Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller part # C51180. This option uses your phone so it's something you are already comfortable with and you won't have to drill into your dash to mount it like you... view full answer...
Tekonsha has confirmed the ZCI kit part # 119250KIT is a fit for your 2013 BMW X3 so it would fit and work. This system installs easily. It uses sensors to detect voltage in the wiring of your vehicle instead of having to tap into the wiring like other kits do so there would be no splicing required. view full answer...
The trailer hitch I recommend for your 2010 X3 is the Draw-Tite Max-Frame, part # 75371. This is a Class lll hitch and it has a 2 inch receiver opening.
If you plan on doing some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
If the ball mount kit does not include... view full answer...
I do have a way that you can have separate turn signals and brake lights for a trailer that is set up for it but not a wiring harness by itself that does it. In the US the norm for trailers is actually combined brake lights and turn signals. So what we would have to do is choose a wiring harness for the vehicle, such as # 119250KIT for your 2004 BMW X3. Then on the trailer side, assuming it has a connector that does not mate up with the US 4-Way flat, use a trailer side 4-Way, such as #... view full answer...
The Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch # 75371 referenced in your question, which is confirmed to fit your 2006 BMW X3, features a tongue weight capacity of 350 pounds. As long as you remain under this capacity with the combined weight of your carrier and dirt bike (which it sounds like you will), you will not have an issue transporting your bike.
If you do not yet have a carrier, I recommend looking at the Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier # UF48-979033. This is a really nice carrier... view full answer...
I recommend going with the 2" mounts whenever possible. The 2" hitch has a larger selection of options for you to get the bike rack that you prefer.
The RockyMounts BackStage Bike Rack # RKY10002 has what you are looking for. It comes with a swing away built in so you will be able to move your bikes to access the rear cargo area. It uses a wheel mount so it will not risk any damage to your carbon frames.
If you are in need of a receiver for your 2021 BMW X3, I recommend the Draw-Tite... view full answer...
The only adapter has been discontinued. The best option for you is to outright replace the racks. I recommend the Thule ProRide, part # TH598004 which replaced the BigMouth and offers similar features, plus an easier to manage frame clamp and available integrated one-key locks as part # TH450200. view full answer...
Fastway actually does use stainless steel hitch balls.
They offer many of their ball mounts like the # DTALBM6600 with the chrome plated steel balls, and if you prefer, the same ball mount with the same features is available with stainless steel hitch balls. That is part # DTALBM6600-2S.
I called my contact at Fastway and they told me that they offer the chrome plated as a more cost-efective option. view full answer...
The dimensions you described are of the spindle for a 3,500 lb axle which uses at the very least a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern. In order to use a 4 on 4" bolt pattern you'd need a 2,000 lb spindle which uses L44643 bearings that measure 1" or a 2,200 lb spindle which uses L44649 bearings that measure 1.063". Therefore no, we do not have a hub with these dimensions with a smaller bolt pattern. The inner bearings is an L68149 which measures 1.378" and the outer bearing is an L44649 which measures... view full answer...
The hitch you would want for your 2014 BMW X3 would be the Curt Hitch part # 76226. This hitch has been confirmed to work on your vehicle and does not require drilling.
The # C11174 that you referenced would not fit your vehicle so I would not recommend it for you.
For trailer wiring you would need to contact a BMW dealer.
For ball mounts I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a carrying bag. view full answer...
There isn't a plug and play wiring harness, but we do have an available option. Tekonsha offers the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT, for your 2007 BMW X3. This kit includes a circuit tester and a no-splice, quick and easy, install.
I have included a short video of this wiring harness being installed on a different BMW model that will give you the general install procedure. view full answer...
According to Thule, you'll be able to use a wide range of their boxes on the 2016 BMW X3's factory crossbars.
Before buying a box, you'll want to find your vehicle's top clearance, which is important on a trip so that you can access the rear hatch. To find this distance, you'll measure from the center of the front crossbar when its adjusted as far forward as it can go to the line where your hatch meets your roof. Your box will need to have a shorter required hatch clearance than your... view full answer...
We have roof rack solutions available for your 2015 BMW X3, but the part # 59827 that you referenced is not one of them so I would not recommend it for you.
If you have flush rails that run from front to back on the top of your vehicle you would need the following components to complete a roof rack:
Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRVA126B-2
Rhino-Rack SRB Leg Kit # RRSX026
If you have a totally naked roof then you would want this instead:

I checked with Curt and they list Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" Item # C13316 as a fit for all models of the 2017 BMW X3. But what that means for your M Sport version is that there could be additional trimming required to install the hitch. For more information on trimming please see the instructions for this hitch which I have linked for you.
I attached a picture of the underbody panel trim diagram for you to check out as well. view full answer...
The Upgraded Circuit Protected Tail Light Wiring Harness, # C59496 is not a fit for your 2014 BMW X3, they instead suggest the universal Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector
Item # C59236.
The harness that I recommend is the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT. I spoke with my contact at Tekonsha and he confirmed that this harness will work. While we have not yet installed this harness... view full answer...
For your 2020 BMW X3 30i, I'd recommend the Curt Class III hitch, part # C13387. The installation is probably beyond the reach of the typical do-it-yourself-er, because the rear bumper and fascia need to be temporarily removed. I'll link to the installation instructions and an install video. A rivet gun for plastic rivets will also be needed, so this is probably best handled by your favorite mechanic unless you're super handy.
The Draw-Tite # 76226 you'd looked at would also fit, but in... view full answer...
I do have a solution for you but first I did some checking and Yakima trunk mounted racks are not recommended for your 2006 BMW X3 because the vehicle is unable to support the weight at the point where the carrier must be placed. The other manufacturers also exclude the 2006 X3.
I recommend installing a trailer hitch and using a hitch mounted bike rack. For a trailer hitch I recommend # 13573. This is a Class III hitch with a 2 inch receiver. I have linked a video showing an example installation... view full answer...
We have tons of great bike rack options for a 2020 BMW X3. The best one will really come down to what kind of bikes you have. The Kuat NV 2.0 2-Bike Platform Rack part # NV22G is one of the best all around options and a personal favorite of mine. The only thing to watch out for is whether or not your bikes has fenders as that's the only exclusion for this rack. It has a nice powder coated finish, locks for security, and every else you'd look for in a premium bike rack. view full answer...
I do have a solution for your to carry 3 bikes on your 2010 BMW X3 without installing a trailer hitch. What you will need to do is install a roof rack on your X3 and use 3 roof mounted bike racks. The roof racks we have available for the 2010 X3 are only compatible with the X3 models that feature the raised side rails.
The Thule Roof Rack, parts # TH712400 and # TH710401, would be a roof rack I recommend for your 2010 BMW X3, which feature 53 inch crossbars.
