I checked with Curt and to install the hitch part # C11399 on a vehicle like your 2017 Audi A3 it is not required that you jack up the rear of the vehicle. There's enough clearance at the rear of the vehicle. Nothing gets removed from the vehicle to install the hitch either like the rear bumper or exhaust. I called my contact at Rhino-Rack and asked about the older Sportz roof rack you have from your Tiguan. They told me that the bars have changed in design and they do not have the items needed to install that system on your Audi. They told me that the crossbar attach points have changed and chances are that the roof rack crossbars needed for the A3 are longer and the older bars you have would not work.
