For a torsion axle such as your Avan Aliner we have kits available that will give you some extra clearance.
The Avan Aliner is a single axle trailer, so we have two kits that will work for you. Torsion axles must be side-mounted and not top mounted and can not be used with Torflex axles with 3 inch high profiles.

There is a way to accomplish what you are needing to do. But the 7-way isn't going to play a role in charging your battery and doesn't care if the battery is lithium or not. The hot wire coming from your 7-way would only ever be enough to trickle charge your battery.
If you are wanting to charge your battery while under way you will need a DC-DC charger like the Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger # 331-BCDC1225D.

I must recommend that you replace the hub/drum as well when changing the size of your braking assemblies because the surface area on the old drums may not line up with the new braking assemblies which is why I recommend replacing both at the same time.
The 10" x 1-1/2" braking assemblies part # K23-472-473-00 will use the same four bolt brake mounting flange as the 10" x 1-3/4" braking assemblies you but we no longer have a correct hub for these.

The Timbren Axle Less kit part # ASR35HDS05 would be your best option as it has a 4 inch lift built into it and has a 3,500 lb capacity. Then for idler hubs the part # 8-213-5UC1-EZ would be a great option which fit this spindle and also have a 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern. view full answer...

Good morning Janine. The 2,000 lb axles generally will use the 7 x 1-1/4 Inch assemblies like part # AKEBRK-2 along with a 7" drum. Most 2,000 lb axles will have a straight spindle that uses either the # L44649 (1.063" inner diameter) bearings or a # L44643 (1" inner diameter) bearings. I do not have a way to know exactly what bearing size your 2003 Airliner Camper uses, so your best bet will be to remove one of the hubs and unpack the bearings. Hey Robert, I wasn't able to find anything on that strut but does it loos like we carry a bunch of 23" long gas struts, like # 3691879-70 which you could potentially use. This particular gas strut is 23' long extended, has a 70 lb compression force, and uses a 10mm ball socket.
