Whether you're hauling heavy loads in your bed or cargo area or you're towing a trailer, you will often see the rear of your vehicle sag while the front end rises. In these cases, the rear axle is handling not only the weight of the cargo, but also more of the vehicle's weight. Because less weight is on the front axle, the front tires are making less contact with the road. Overall handling - traction, steering, and braking - is negatively affected. But the resistance from Timbren's Suspension Enhancement System works with your factory suspension to keep your vehicle level and improve your driving experience.
The Timbren system comes with custom-fit brackets that are bolted onto each frame rail above the rear axle. Hollow rubber springs are bolted to the bottom of the bracket and hang down to where the bottom of the spring sits, 1" above the axle. The inch of clearance allows the existing factory suspension to operate normally under light loads and standard terrain, ensuring the smooth, comfortable ride that you are used to.
Timbren Suspension Enhancement Systems are designed to work progressively. When the hollow rubber springs are compressed, the convoluted design causes them to quickly collapse along the folds. Once the folds are compacted, the stacked barrel shape increases resistance, stiffening the suspension and keeping your vehicle level.
Each hollow rubber spring works independently to support the driver's side or passenger's side of your vehicle. This is helpful when you swerve or make sharp turns. Each spring is activated when it is needed, so body roll is greatly reduced. The independent action also works well when you are hauling off-center loads.
Because the vehicle handles better with the springs, less turbulence will be passed along to the trailer, and this helps to keep the trailer in line. Your driving comfort is further enhanced if the trailer does begin to sway (from a gust of wind or a passing semi), because the movement from the trailer is not transferred to your vehicle. This also works to make the sway subside more quickly.
Another great feature of the rubber construction is that the springs absorb most of the road shock, creating a smoother, more stable ride overall. Wear and tear on the factory suspension is also lessened because the rubber springs work to prevent bottoming out on rough roads.
Timbren's Suspension Enhancement Systems are much easier to install than air springs - there are no air hoses to run, no compressors or gauges to hook up, and no manual adjustments to make. The rubber construction makes Timbren's springs more elastic than similar products constructed of microcellular urethane. And more elasticity allows for a more comfortable ride because the rubber has more travel.

Very sturdy product, hardware was short by (2) 1/2” flat washers, (6 shown on instructions, 4 in package)no big deal there. Install goes fast with an impact gun. 3/4”(19mm) and 17mm sockets plus a 3/4 wrench req. tip: if you have a small magnet, width of a pencil, you can easily capture the flange nuts. My driver’s side clears the 6” exhaust tip by a 1/4”, should be fine. Directions are straightforward.
I debated for awhile weather or not to get this product or air bags. I chose this product for its value and high reveiws. I also like that it is maintenance free and lifetime reveiws. There is really nothing to go wrong except for the brackets to possibly someday get rusted. But the brakets seem to have a powder coat or really good paint. I installed these my self. Can be installed in a couple hours on a newer truck that has rust free u bolts. Just take the wheels off and jack the truck up and loosen u bolts and remove old bump stops and install the Timbren helper springs. I thought the hardest part was re torque the u bolts. The package I got had a one inch spacer which I installed. It made my helper springs about 3/4 inch below the bump stop. If I hit a good bump on the road I can feel them bottom out a little. Bit nothing that would change my mind about putting them on. I pulled my dump trailer since I put them on and it made a world of a difference. Very little squat and gave the truck a nice firm ride. I would recommend these to anyone that has a tight budget and wants a safer driving experience.
I installed these on my 2020 Titan XD with the included one inch spacer. There was about 5/8 inch clearance which I thought was about perfect for towing. It was a major improvement while towing my fifth wheel and enclosed bumper pull trailer. Huge difference for towing but a massive disappointment for ride quality unloaded. I will be removing the spacer. If you are towing near max hitch weight and often I would recommend the spacer. For the average Joe towing occasionally lose the spacer. The ride quality unloaded is just too stiff. I’m removing them and the jury is still out

Honestly the ride quality can be rough with the Timbren kits when unloaded. Some are ok with it or do not feel it, some like yourself can feel the difference. You can remove the spacer you just want to make sure that there is still a 0.5 to 1.50 gap between the rubber spring and the contact point when empty. If you are towing all the time then I recommend taking a look at an air bag option, however it is more money and a more extensive set up.
I have been running the Timbren’s on my Titan XD for almost a year. The reason I installed them was to get a more level stance when towing my 5th wheel camper with a Pin weight off 1600lbs. With the Timbren’s install I have a dead level truck. With them installed it only squats another inch. The control and ride is very good with Timbren. I didn’t not install the spacer so my empty ride is not effected. I would recommend this product.
Install took 20 minutes with normal hand tools and a TQ wrench.
I install these on a 2017 Nissan Titan XD it took about 45 minutes to install both sides this is a very easy installation just follow the instructions. We tow a 35 ft 5th wheeler during acceleration the front end of are truck would Lift up this has solved the problem.
1st. Easy to install. Definitely solved my sagging issue affordable.
I have a decked tool box in my titan xd and pull a 24' enclosed cargo trailer. From the original bumpers, I seen I have bottomed out. With trailer on now, it might have dropped 1". 90% better then before. Definitely a no Brainer if anyone ever ask me what to do. I would recommend!

Towing the boat has been a lot better. I took a trip to the North Maine woods with a 17 foot deep hull tracker in June and the roads aren't great. The SES helped the truck preventing it from bottoming out from the tongue weight.
Fast delivery, easy install on 2016 Nissan TitanXD, so far so good.

Over a year, and several heavy loads later, these Timbrens are still going strong. Easily the best addition to the truck and at the lowest cost.
The timbres have worked excellent we haul a 14,000 pound fifth wheel and you can’t beat it even though my Nissan titan isn’t rated for that it works great highly recommended you won’t be sorry
These are the hardest ride you could possibly get loaded or unloaded I would not recomend timbrens to anyone. Had to eat the cost and replace them with air bags. (Aweful product)

I had considered getting air shocks for the rear of my truck when I pull the fifth wheel. I didn’t want to pay the price for that so I thought I’d try these and if it wasn’t helpful I’d get the air shocks. After putting them on it was obvious I didn’t need anything else. They easily handled the load and work well under all conditions. A much cheaper option compared to air shocks!
Put these on when I purchased a 5th wheel. Provides excellent control of truck, no sway or bobbing and no sag. Smooth safe towing
Just be sure you have the minimum 1/2" clearance or when truck is not under load you will feel the truck hit the bump stops causing a bit of a firmer ride.
I had to remove the spacer to gain enough clearance between bump stop and frame.
The product arrived two days early with the package still intact. I am not a mechanic, but hack my way around vehicles and I must say this was extremely easy to install. Thank you Timbren!!

Makes a huge difference in carrying heavy loads. I could tell an immediate difference when I had a full bed, gooseneck load, or a bumper pull load. Highly recommended. I considered air suspension, but did not want to tackle that installation. Literally can install this with a torque wrench and impact wrench.
I bought these about one year ago for my truck and have been very happy with them. They were super easy to install and they work great when I tow my fifth wheel (the truck rides actually better when towing). Time will tell how well the high density rubber holds up.

Installed on my 2017 Nissan Titan SV.
Easy install and maybe took 1 hour. Didn’t know that on Medium and Heavy Duty Trucks that it is in constant contact. Did affect ride some but not horrible. I do tow a camper and a 27 foot pontoon often ,so I’m excited to see how it does.
I can tell there is no lean going into curves and the truck does handle better.
Kit made it here earlier than expected. Bump stops were easy to install and fit perfect. Test drove unloaded, so will finish review following a haul of our 5th wheel trailer.

the product was shipped quickly and installation was easy and straightforward and fitment was perfect. haven't towed with it installed yet but will be in about 9 days (24' enclosed car trailer about 9k lbs). I'm confident that it will squat much less and be even more stable and comfortable towing.
Better than airbags! Easy install. Took 15 minutes to install. Don’t even have to jack truck up. Loosen u-bolts and slide stock one out, slide timbren in and tighten nuts!
So far so good. Very easy to install. Can’t wait to hook up my 5th wheel and see what kind of difference it makes. Was delivered quickly and very easy to install.
Great product, quality is far more than I expected. The density of the material is hard enough to keep the truck from bouncing with a heavy load, but soft enough to maintain a smooth ride.

Best thing for the money. Would buy them again. The only thing I would try next time is getting a bigger spacer from the factory so there is little to no gap between the frame and the rubber spring. I only had a little over a half an inc but by the time I put my camper on the truck look like it is starting to square.
