Hello, every body. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Putco 60 inch long direct fit blade LED tailgate light bar. Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2020 and newer Ford F-150 trucks. And on a custom fit part like this, I do recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle.

And it'll show you if this will work for your application. Now this is a tailgate light bar which will provide an auxiliary tail, stop, turn, and backup light functions. Basically, this light bar will install in the gap at the bottom of your tailgate between the tailgate and the bumper. Now, the LEDs on this light bar will produce a nice bright red or white light based on which signal is being used. Now at the end of this video, I am going to connect this to some 12 volt power to show you how the light bar works.

But I first wanna go over some of its features. Wanna zoom in and show you up close the light bar itself. It uses COB, which is COB, chip on board, LED technology. It creates a nice, bright, solid panel of light. If you look close, the LED chips are mounted close together for uniform high intensity light, similar to a lighting panel.

It has a nice sealed lens in-housing unit, which is waterproof. It has an IP 69K rating to stand up to severe environmental conditions and cleaning methods. And if you notice, it is a tinted polycarbonate housing which provides a nice sleek look when it's installed. Now this is a simple installation. Comes with the included automotive grade 3M tape, the mounting clips, the connectors.

It even comes with these quick connect custom fit wiring harness over here, which will plug into your vehicle's existing light connections. And then on the other end, you can see is the four-way plug that the light bar will plug into. So there's no cutting or splicing of any wires. Application, again, this is for full size trucks. The dimensions on this, the length of the light bar one into the other is 60 inches long. The width is only five eights of an inch, and the height is only three eights of an inch. Now when this goes into the backup light mode, which is the cool white color, it does produce over 3,000 lumens. So I am gonna show you that when we hook this up. So basically right now, I have it hooked up to our 12 volt power. So what I'm gonna do is go ahead and turn that on, and you'll see when it comes on, I'll go turn off the over light, and it gives you a solid light bar of red lights. So this would be like your running lights or taillights. And then when you go and hit your brakes, basically you'll see that when you hit your brakes, the whole light bar lights up brighter just like your brakes do on your taillights. And then when you use your turn signals, what you'll notice when you hit your passenger side, you'll notice that half of the red lights will light up as a turn signal. So this would be like your passenger side. And then if we switch it, if you do the driver's side, then you'll be able to see you have your driver's side turn signal. Again, it's a row of red lights that'll give you your turn signal. And then the last one we mention is your backup lights. So basically when you put your vehicle in reverse, your backup lights will come on and you'll be able to see when they come on. That whole light bar lights up in white. And as I mentioned, it's putting out over 3,000 lumens. So basically when you go in reverse, people behind you will be able to know that you're going in reverse. Go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights, and then we'll go ahead and turn off our power. But that should do it for the review on this Putco 60 inch long direct fit blade LED tailgate light bar..
