The hitch fit pretty well on my 2018 Colorado WT. I struggled a bit getting the bolt holes to line up well, but after some adjustment, was able to torque everything down. However, I was able to do the install while the truck was on the ground and using jackstands, and it has served me well.

2018 Chevrolet Colorado

Awesome. Great price fast shipping such an easy install. Whole process including wiring took me 1.5 hrs. And I’m not at all a mechanic. The video was a tremendous help by watching before I started. Highly recommend this product. And etrailer

by:

Installed my new hitch this morning, wasn't too hard to do. Impact wrench to remove the 4 bolts facing the floor, and a breaker bar and ratchet handle to remove the side bumper bolts. Got a couple extra hands to hold the bumper in place so I could remove the bolts and removed the bumper hitch. This hitch doesn't utilize the side bumper bolts so I reinstalled them and got the new hitch inlace and started the 4 bolts. I must say, it is a heavy duty well built hitch, much heavier that the one I removed. Snugged up all 8 bolts and torqued them to 126 Lb Ft.

WORKS GREAT NO ISSUES AT ALL USE IT FOR HAULING SMALL TRAILERS, PORTABLE BBQ, AND MY MOUNTAIN BIKES

I received this hitch much earlier than expected.....great shipping....My son and I took on this project today.....I'm 67 and my son is 28....you will need some young muscle....lol....we are just DIY people......we watched the vids and we had no problem....our problem was we were just using hand tools.....breaker bars and ratchets.....this is labor intensive with hand tools, but not bad...just be ready to take a break......our only problem was the spare tire bar......DO lower the spare and loosen all the bolts .......we did have to manipulate the bumper to get all the bolts to line up but wasn't much of a problem.....they say DIY should take about 1 hour or more....we did it in and hour and a half....and we took a break in between to hydrate....I'm in deep S. Texas....all in all....pretty easy peasy with the right tools and at least two guys.

by:

The install took me 2 days to finish. I'm 71yrs old. The frame bolts were very difficult to remove. I wo the battle though.

by:

Trailer hitch went on with out to much trouble always great product and service
Thanks

by:

Hitch is well made, but has a problem. You have to remove factory support that goes between frame and mounting bolts. This leaves the hitch approx. 1/8 inch to wide on each side. I corrected this by shimming with large diameter washers. Hitch should be approx 1/4 inch narrow. If you install it with out spacers, you will have to really tighten it in order to bend the mounting brackets flat against the frame.

The factory support is actually reinstalled after the hitch is installed. The hitch mounts to the frame and there shouldnt be any need for the washers. I am attaching a link to an installation video.

This trailer hitch was easy to install - great directions and video also available on YouTube.

We use our hitch almost every weekend and it works awesome!!! Love it

2020 Chevrolet Colorado

I gave this 5 stars because Curt hitches are always excellent. However mine arrived with both ends sticking out of the box and the finish compromised down to bare metal in several spots. I blame part of this on less than adequate packaging especially if shipping UPS. I doubt if I’m the first person this has happened to so I would say be prepared to some painting unless you don’t mind a rusty hitch.

I will have our Customer Service team reach out to you. I recommend touching up the affected areas with a rust resistant paint which you will then have on hand for regular hitch maintenance.

by:

The hitch was easy to install and fits perfectly. No problems with the instructions as they are easy to understand. High Quality and well built. Used for trailers and a bike rack.

Delivered on time and easy to install. There on line video was a great help.

SHIPPED TO MY DOOR QUICKLY, VERY HAPPY WITH THE CONSTRUCTION AND EASE OF INSTALATION.

Awesome hitch/receiver

by:

Awesome Hitch, it was easy to install on my Colorado and has been put to the test. I regularly tow either a Bayliner 175, two dirt bikes and a quad on a utility trailer, or a hitch mounted dirt bike carrier and have had no issues. I have used the receiver as an anchor point to self recover my vehicle and it held up just fine doing that too.

2018 Chevrolet Colorado

Had to pull off the factory hitch bar before I could install this. When I did, I found it felt like a feather compared to the Curt hitch. This hitch is built tough! Great product!

by:
2017 Chevrolet Colorado

Hitch looks good and is functional. Hardest part was breaking the factory mounted bolts loose. I had to get a breaker bar. Also the Factory Crossmember has "vertical wings" where it mounts to the side of frame and the hitch does not. I had to get some large washers to re-install the bumper in order to adjust for the lack of "wings". I got this in order to mount a bicycle rack. It saves me from putting several bikes in the bed when we go to a different location

by:

The install was what I expected, about two hours, but I took my time. I hung the bumper with a pair of cargo straps so I didn't have to manhandle it at all. I did cut some pieces off the old cross member to act as shims to fill in between the bumper mount and the frame since the hitch attached outside it all. Been very happy with it.

by:

I have the z71 Colorado with tow mode and the bigger v6 so that helps but it’s still only a mid sized truck and I’ve pulled things iSight at the upper edge of my weight limit for pullling and this hitch has never made a noise never scared me everything was me proof for putting not in I have mechanical background but I banged my head pretty good in the service so it’s easy to install. Overall absolutely satisfied with the whole experience from buying to performance. I Recommend this product highly recommend to anyone needing a hitch.

its works too nice but I did had trouble
installing it because the bolts that came with the hitch were too big

Juan, thank you for your review. Underneath your vehicle, the frame is constantly exposed to dirt and grime that can harden over time. When this happens sometimes it will feel like the bolt will not thread into your weld nuts in the frame. The good news is you can clean out the weld nuts in your frame to get your bolts to thread. I have attached a link that will help you with this.

Customer service is great. It seems y'all care about the customer being happy. So far REAL GOOD. Will buying. from you guys moving forward.

2017 Chevrolet Colorado

etrailer Team, The installation was a little hard since I am by my own and working on the floor, but the outcome is great, the same with the electric installation, easy and simple; I believe that the quality is more than good because the difference of weight in between the original and the etrailer hitch is big. In my case I am going to use it with light weight stuff.

by:

The price was great and the hitch was a perfect fit. Delivery was spot on time. Looks great on the truck.

  • Hitch Receiver and Wiring Harness for a 2022 GMC Canyon
Yes, we do have a hitch receiver that will fit your 2022 GMC Canyon. It is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver item # C13203. This is a custom fit hitch receiver that bolts directly to your frame with included hardware. It requires no welding or drilling. The only thing you will have to do is remove the cross member that came in place of a factory hitch. • Will the Hollywood Racks Destination Accommodate a 4-Inch Fat Tire Non-Electric Bike?
I think I have a couple options for you. Unfortunately, the Hollywood Racks Destination # HLY94FR cannot securely hold a 4-inch fat tire bike. For a 4-inch fat tire bike hitch-mounted rack, I recommend the Curt 2 Bike Platform Rack for Fat Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # C18085-FB. The Curt 2 will give you plenty of room to mount your 4-inch fat tire into the wheel hoops. The Curt 2 also includes integrated bike locks for extra security. • Hardware for Installing Curt C13203 Class III Hitch on 2021 GMC Canyon
The Curt # C13203 Class III hitch does indeed use the existing bolts which hold the factory crossmember in place. The torque specs can change over time which is why we don't publish them, but they are listed in step # 5 of the instructions, which I've linked for you. I've also linked to an install video that you might find helpful. To install a 7-way/4 pole trailer connector, use part # HM40975-11998, I've also linked a video to that install.

The spare tire support bracket is already attached to the frame of the 2018 Chevy Colorado LT so the Curt hitch part # C13203 does not come with the spare tire support bracket.
