Specs:
This hasp can be installed so that the arm folds over the mounting plate. When mounted this way, there is no access to the mounting hardware when the hasp is closed and locked. This means that the hardware can't be tampered with to remove the hasp.
If more length is needed, the hasp can be opened and installed with the mounting plate visible.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the panel lock hasp. A hasp can be used for a variety of applications. Would be great for trailers, gates, boxes, sheds and many other uses. It's going to feature a three hole mounting plate. Mounting hardware not included. The unit's constructed of an electro polish stainless steel construction.
It's very strong and durable and highly resistant to rust and corrosion. Few measurements to go over with you real quick, starting with the overall length. Measuring from edge to edge, that's going to give us a measurement of pretty close to 3 and 11/16 of an inch. Measuring the overall length with it in this position, that's going to give us a measurement of about 2 and 3/4 of an inch. The overall width it's going to measure right at one inch wide.
The pin diameter on the unit is 3/16 of an inch. The elongated hole side to side has an opening of 5/16 of an inch. Lengthwise is one inch. Now your staple and lock are going to be sold separately, or hook or any type of securing device. With this part number you're just going to get the hasp. The mounting holes on the unit have a diameter of around 3/16 of an inch and you can see how they're beveled there, that way your hardware will lay flush.
Then just measuring that mounting plate, that's going to give us a measurement of one inch wide. If we measure this portion here to the squared off portion to the edge, it's going to measure around 7/8 of an inch to 15/16 of inch that direction. That's going to do it for today's look at the panel lock hasp.
