Hello, neighbors, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today, we're looking at the Dexter Fortress Threaded Aluminum Oil Cap for the 10,000 through 15,000 pound axles. That's right, folks, so new idea from Dexter, very nice product, the Threaded Aluminum Oil Cap. Now, this will replace the oil cap, O-ring, and plug for the Dexter and Valcrum axles off of those item numbers on the screen. This is a direct replacement. You got a nice red retainer shield here that's gonna protect the clear viewing area, that way, damage and stuff doesn't happen to it.
You got a nice large side lug here, plug, you can pull that out, makes it easy to access or fill, drain whenever. And this cap can actually double as a grease or oil cap, but predominantly, it's designed for oil. It's got a nice cast aluminum body, it's got the O-ring in here. And it's gonna be a simple install, threads on, threads off. You're gonna get one cap, one watertight O-ring seal, and the plug.
And again, for 10,000 pound to 15,000 pound axles. The overall diameter from side to side, counting that flange is four inches. It's a nice five-year warranty. And I wanna show you an expanded view of this, just so you get an idea of all the parts that are here and everything and how well it's built. So you got the nice cast aluminum housing, the plug, the O-rings, the clear looking view finder, whatever, and the red safety protector over that clear viewing ring.
