Notes:
Once your tire begins to roll, the beads will get distributed around its interior thanks to centrifugal force. As the wheel continues to spin, the heavy spot in your unbalanced tire will pull up and down on your trailer's suspension. This will cause the beads to shift in the opposite direction of that pull. The beads will continue to migrate until there are enough of them on the opposite side of the heavy spot to balance your tire. This process will continue for the life of the tire, constantly and automatically adjusting when necessary.
There is a misconception that trailers do not need to have balanced tires. The truth is, a trailer with unbalanced wheel assemblies will increase the roll resistance for your tow vehicle and create a much bumpier ride. Dragging a trailer with janky wheels can cause your truck to expend a good deal of energy, resulting in higher fuel costs. Fueling your truck can cost you a fortune, so why not do everything possible to cut down on those costs?
Counteract balancing beads were independently tested and shown to improve fuel consumption up 2.2% on semi-truck and trailer combinations, where both the truck and trailer tires were balanced with beads. Not only does balancing your tires help you save money, but the less fuel you use, the better it is for the environment as well. Couple this with the fact that these beads are made from recyclable glass and won't come loose from the tire to contaminate the ecosystem, and you have an overall environmentally friendly product.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Counteract 12-ounce single bag of tire balancing beads for trailers. Now, this Counteract balancing beads are the economical way to balance your trailer, tire and wheel assembly for the lifetime of the tire. Basically, these beads will install inside the tire. Now, I did wanna zoom in and just show you, when you receive the bag, you'll get it, it'll be sealed at the top, It has a tear off strip, which I've already removed, just so we can take a look at what you'll get on the inside. So once we dump everything out, we'll lay it out here, and you basically got about four different items here.
So we'll start with the 12-ounce bag of balancing beads, you get the vortex valve core, you'll get a flow-through cap, and then you also get a standard valve cap. Now the beads themselves, they're tiny spheres of coated glass. The balancing beads will not cause damage to the inner liner of your tire, they won't clump regardless of excess moisture, and they are TPMS compatible. The beads are environmentally friendly construction, they are reusable and recyclable beads. Now, basically how the counteract beads work to balance your tire, we're gonna pop up an insert and just sort of follow along, basically what happens is, once your tire begins to roll, this bag's gonna break open and the beads will get distributed around the interior thanks to centrifugal force.
As the wheel continues to spin, the heavy spot in your unbalanced tire will pull up and down on the vehicle suspension. This is gonna cause the beads to shift in the opposite direction of that pole. The beads will continue to migrate until there's enough of them on the opposite side of the heavy spot to help balance out your tire. These tire balancing beads continuously and automatically readjust the balance of your single-trailer tire. They will reduce vibration, and ensure even wear to increase life of the tire, and even help improve fuel economy.
Again, they're very easy installation, you'll just throw this inner bag into the tire when it's removed from the wheel, or you could even inject the beads in through the valve stem. The beads do remain inside the tire, they won't come loose, they will not cause any damage to your wheels. Now, if your tire does have an internal TPMS sensor, you will need to break down the tire to install these beads. Now, when you go to order these, to order the correct amount of beads for your application, what you'll do is get the size of the tire from the sidewall of your trailer tire, and match it to the tire sizes that are listed on the product page for that size bag of beads. They do offer these beads in different size bags, which we do sell separately.
Now on these, this 12-ounce balancing bead bag is designed for use on trailers with 19.5 and 22.5-size trailer tires, and a minimum of a half-ton suspension. You do not wanna use these beads on passenger cars or SUVs. Now, these other items they give you, in order to reduce the possibility of any valve leaks, they do recommend to replace your regular valve stem with our valve core, with this Vortex valve core, it just inserts into your valve stem. And then it gives you two types of caps to use, you can use the standard screw-on cap, or they give you this flow-through cap here. And what's nice with the flow-through cap is, you can install this onto your valve stem, and you don't have to remove it every time, if you want to check your air pressure or put air in, you can leave it on and just screw it through, there's a little ball up at the top here that activates. And these parts are included in every bag of Counteract beads. These are made in the US, and it is per quantity of one bag of beads for one tire. Well, that should do it for the review on the Counteract 12-ounce single bag of tire balancing beads for trailers.
