This is deigned to replace your OEM tailgate handle. It works on trucks with or without a backup camera so you have this location right here for the backup camera if your truck is equipped with that. But it can be installed on vehicles without a backup camera.The color is pyrite mica, which complements any other dark gray trim on your truck. It does have the raised lock area right here for quick key access. It's a simple installation.

Does what its suppossed to do great product follow the instructions to get it in place just a little tricky to jockey it into the cavity. Took me all of about 20 minutes !
