Today we're going to review part number S-150. This is the Stromberg Carlson Adjustable-Height, Folding Platform Step. Steel finish in a 300 pound weight capacity. Now this step stool will give you the extra height you need to get into hard-to-reach areas. It's perfect for use as a starter step when entering or leaving your RV. It does have the adjustable legs on the bottom, have 2 height positions.
Basically, if they're folded in like this, they would set right on here and give you 4 inches in height. If you pop the legs out, just pop them open like this. With it fully open like this, that will get you 8 inches in height. It does have, the whole top here, is a non-slip surface which provides sure footing. When you fold them in it gives you a nice simple storage. It does have a nice high-grade, powder coated steel finish that'll helps resists rust and corrosion. Again, the dimensions on this. The length is 24 inches. The width would be 16 inches. Again, the step height with it in the open, legs in the open position is going to be right at 8 inches tall.
When you drop them under, it'd be 4 inches tall. Now, the weight capacity on this is 300 pounds. It does come with a one year warranty. I just want to show you again how these legs would drop down. Fold them down.

Needed a step to help entry and exit of my enclosed car trailer. Attached steps are prone to dragging plus the cost is more for a quality step. This portable step is sturdy, a reasonable price, and fits my need perfectly.
This step has served us well. Non skid surface for safety, folds compact, but is large enough for safe entry to our camper. After a year, it still looks like new. Great value, fit our needs. Ordering, shipping, and follow-up was super.(We bolted on a pipe cap to raise it to the height we needed. There is a hole in the bottom of each leg)

Great! After a years use and over 100 camping days this step is still going strong. Minimal wear in all Kings of weather. Stores great, fits our needs. Excellent quality!
I've been looking for a quality, collapsible step to use with our RV for a very long time and I finally found it! We were using a step made of wood and the Carlson step is far superior! The Carlson step collapses to a very handy size, it is deeper than the wooden step it replaces by about 50%, it is far more stable, the dog won't chew on it, and it has a non skid surface. Excellent product and I do highly recommend it.

Better than expected. Easy to handle and store, holds up well. Ive recommended this to several friends.
This step was EXACTLY what we were wanting and they have held up spectacularly!!!! I would highly recommend this to others. High q, durable, and the legs fold for very easy and compact storage.

This step is still perfect for us!! I still recommend them and IF I ever have to buy a replacement step, I would buy this one AGAIN!!!!
Step is exactly as described and perfect for our trailer. I have a nice solid platform to step down onto.
Very sturdy step. It's not light. Provides about 8" of rise to assist in stepping out of our off road Hiker Trailer. The only con is the foot pads easily slip off the feet of the step. Take care not to lose them when closing up the legs for storage.

Decent step with a decent price we're all in all happy with the results for our RV. It will give you an extra 8 inches of height and a large non skid step.
The product looked good on the web but I must say I was very pleased with it once I. received it.

One year later and it still looks the same as when I received it. Very sturdy and easy to move around.
It is good just wish the height was adjustable. This was the only step stool I could find that was this big.
Sometimes, one needs to exit a little camper in the dark of night. Missing a step can be embarrassing and injurious. This step is large enough that even I can’t miss it, and it’s solid as a rock… a non-slip rock!
Greatest step...also just to let u know how sturdy it is...I ran over it w my 20' RV with back tire ...the step's foldable foot was shoved into the ground
And just slightly bent but still completely useable...my next big trip I left it at a road side park..needless to say I was sick I didn't get it back...sooo I'm ordering another and I'm making a check list taped to my RV so I know I have everything before I take off....

I had been looking for a wide step up platform for my BBQ competition trailer when I saw a competitor with this same step. I Googled and found it first on Etrailer. Very stable and stores easily. Highly recommend!

Strong and stable step platform. A bit heavy but thats what makes it strong. Small package when folded. Rubber pads need to be glued or they slide off when stored.

Excellent Service. Item ordered came earlier than expected which was a big help since I needed the platform to help load my aging 140 lb. Rottweiler in the car for a required trip in a couple of days. The extra time will help me train her to use the Step Platform to get into the car since she has a hard time making the jump all at once anymore. Thanks.
Outstanding product. Very sturdy and with the large base, I don't have to worry about anyone falling stepping out of the trailer. If you are looking for a nice step, this is the one to buy.

Still going strong after one year. Nice step and the surface is still looking great even after being in the elements all year long.
Bought this set of steps for a family member who bought a TT. They are totally happy as they were in love with the steps we had.
What a difference stepping into our trailer! We were looking at spending LOTS more on new steps, the high quality sturdiness of this step makes it perfect! And we saved a lot of money!

Still love the steps, couldnt live without them now.
Super sturdy foldable step, perfect for our camper van. Our dogs actually use it too! Glad I made this purchase and I would buy it again.
Arrived in good time. Although made of steel, it's very manageable to lift compared to a wood platform I had to build for my disabled brother and dad to get in and out of our 4x4 SUV. We needed a larger platform so I ordered two of these.
Pros: Easy to lift and put in and out of car.
Legs are angled out so if a person steps at the edge of the platform it doesn't tilt as a straight leg would and is still stable on flat ground.
Cons:
It was rusty at the joints, out of the box.
The legs don't lock, you have to be sure you check the legs are pulled out or it will collapse when stepped on. Weird there's no click or lock for this.
The rubber feet, like many others, have stated, easily come off and one of the two boxes didn't even have the rubber tips. I glued the rubber to the metal as soon as I got a chance so I wouldn't lose it. And contacted customer service on chat and they are sending me out the missing pieces.
I'm not sure if the platform was assembled correctly as there is a pin looking part at each leg but it doesn't appear to have a function that I can tell.
Customer service has always been excellent over the years from etrailer so I would purchase again as I don't have many options for what I needed and I trust they are there when I need them.
As for the rust spots, I'll use some rustoleum spray and try to stop the rust and never plan to leave it in the rain.
I must have misread the catalog and thought it would be adjustable in height. Works OK and is stable on level ground.

The step is considered adjustable height because it can be used with the legs in the stored position or the legs in the deployed position. The step offers a 4 inch boost when the legs are stored and an 8 inch boost when the legs are extended.
I love this step, just what I and my little dog needed, our steps are inside of RV so having this extra step down onto the ground is perfect! Cuts the stepping up & down in half. It’s wide and sturdy , folds down for easy storage. Thumps up!
Sturdy big step provides a safer base to get in and out of your trailer. Doesn’t adjust, which I misunderstood from the description.

The step is indeed adjustable. It has two height adjustments. With the the legs folded up, the step stool is 4 inches and height, 8 inches with the legs folded out.
