Now, this latching winch can be used on a flatbed truck or trailer to secure a strap over your load, and the straps we do sell separately. This one is designed to work with winch straps up to four inches wide, and it also does require a winch tightening bar that you would use to tighten the strap with, and again, we do sell the tightening bar separately on our website.Now this winch happens to be a left-hand side model for the driver's side of the truck or trailer. It is a low profile design, so it does allow for placement in tight spaces. It is a weld-on installation. The winch base will weld onto the outside of your truck or trailer frame, and it's a steel construction that ensures long-lasting use.
