2015 Ford F-450 Super Duty - Reese Quick-Install Custom Outboard Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches

  • Above the Bed
  • Reese
  • Custom

Heavy-duty, custom brackets dramatically reduce the amount of drilling and time required to install your fifth-wheel trailer hitch. Outboard design ensures simple access to mounting points. Brackets, 10-bolt base rails and hardware included.

Features:

  • Installation brackets mount beneath your truck bed to provide attachment points for 5th-wheel rails
  • Base rails sit in truck bed and allow installation of 5th-wheel trailer hitch
  • Fast, simple installation with outboard design
    • Extended-length base rails allow for mounting farther out from truck frame
      • Avoids underbed components for easier access
      • Cuts down installation time by more than half compared with universal kits
    • Custom brackets mount to existing holes in truck frame, minimizing drilling and measuring
  • Thoroughly tested kit is compliant with strict Society of Automotive Engineers guidelines
  • Kit includes brackets, 10-bolt rails and Grade-8 hardware
  • Compatible with B&W, Curt, Demco Hijacker Premier Series, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Husky, Reese, and Valley above-bed 5th-wheel trailer hitches
  • Sturdy, black powder coated steel resists corrosion

Specs:

  • Base rail dimensions: 48" long x 1-7/8" tall
  • Limited lifetime warranty

Reese's outboard installation kit for your fifth-wheel trailer hitch was designed with safety and convenience in mind. Just like the original custom mounting brackets, these brackets install using existing holes in the truck frame, minimizing installation time. The biggest difference with this outboard kit is the extended-length rails. These above-bed rails are 5 inches longer than standard, universal fifth-wheel rails so that they will match up with the mounting points on the brackets, which sit below the bed and outside of your truck's frame. The result is a much simpler installation process, wherein most underbed components can be easily avoided. Because you are working outside the frame rails, you also have easier access with your tools and more room to work, making the whole process less of a pain.

The base rails included in this installation kit feature a standard 10-bolt design. Each of these rails attaches to the underbed brackets with two carriage bolts at both ends. A single bolt is used in the center of each rail to further secure it in your truck bed. The result is a set of base rails that remains firmly in place thanks to 10 points of contact.

This entire installation kit is built to be SAE J2638 compliant and has been extensively tested per specified accelerated-life-cycle criteria for fifth-wheel trailer hitches. The requirements for testing are based on the European-style test of 900,000 cycles, making this testing process among the most thorough and intensive in the industry.

The brackets and rails were a perfect fit, really easy and fast to install, took me 2 hours from start to finish.

2013 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Delivery time was very reasonable, installation of rails and frame brackets straight forward and relatively simple. I went to extra lengths to try and get them in exactly as per recommended measurements. Not sure in 1/8 to 1/16 inch off would be an issue, so I worked until I nailed it exactly. Haven't picked up the new 5th wheel yet, but anticipating no problems. 2013 F250 diesel crew cab short bed.

Product was on back order for some time which was out of etrailers control , once product was in very quick response and shipping . Thanks

I really like the hitch, install took a little time but every thing went in as planned , the best part is easy hook up to the fifth wheel . I also installed the power cord which just plugged into the factory plugs drilled a hole in the side of the inner bed were I wanted it and done . I would like to thank your company for the quick delivery even though the hitch was on back order which is not your fault. I appreciate all the help from the staff at etrailer and will order from you again when parts or other items are needed . Thank you for your follow up and have a great Christmas and a Happy new year .

2012 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty

Ordered a Reece custom fifth wheel bracket kit with rails. It was delivered in a timely manner and I installed it myself. Went right on with no problems. I do wish the instructions had mentioned what to do when you have a bracket hole hitting the bed cross members. I had to drive the shims between the bed and cross members to keep the bed from collapsing.

2012 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty

Overall product is great, the construction is heavy duty gauge metal for better strength, much better that what I was sold at the dealership in the past.
Installation was easy and straight forward.

Your Valley 7054 fifth wheel hitch will fit rails that we offer for your 2016 Ford F-250 as it is designed to fit industry standard rails like what you have. With a 2011 Ford F-250 Super Duty with a short bed you are going to want a sliding hitch to give you clearance around tight turns. Which hitch you get is going to depend on the weight of your trailer. Both hitches use the same Quick-Install Custom Base Rails for your truck # RP56016-53. The Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Single Jaw - Above Bed - 18,000 lbs # DM8550034 is an excellent hitch for your 2015 Ford F-250 Super Duty 4x4. I personally think this is the best hitch available for short bed trucks because it has the autoslide ability to give you the clearance you need for safe turning. This hitch connects to industry standard 5th wheel rails, so I recommend the Demco Hijacker Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rails and Custom Installation...

If your rails are Reese and 48 inches long by 7-1/2 inches wide by 1-7/8 inches tall then # RP56016 is the correct bracket kit. If your rails are shorter than 48 inches then you will need bracket kit # RP50026 instead. I don't recommend pulling at full capacity all the time, but you will have many options for 5th wheel trailers within your towable range. With your short bed, you will need to get a sliding hitch to account for the lack of clearance space when turning.
