Secure, Two-Piece Jaw

Q24 Two-Piece Jaw

Unlike slide-bar models, the rounded, two-piece jaw on this fifth-wheel trailer hitch inhibits rattle and movement by securely wrapping around your trailer's king pin, resulting in easier hookup and a safer, quieter ride.

Three-Point Indicator System

Get peace of mind with Curt's color-coded lock indicator. Just look at the indicator - either the one on the handle or the one on the hitch itself - to determine whether the jaw is in the correct position to uncouple (red), couple (yellow) or tow (green).

Q24 Color Indicator System

360-Degree Pivot

Curt's unique spherical axial bearing provides a durable pivot point that allows easy, 360-degree movement of the hitch head. This ball joint is designed for smooth, quiet operation with less clunking and chucking.

I have ran a cheap competitor hitch for several years.
A manufacturing defect (welded pivot pin) caused the hitch to fail and resulted in 18000$ damage to my truck and trailer.
I chose the Curt 25000# hitch after much research and found it to be very well made and clearly shows when it is properly coupled. It is quiet and operates with minimal klunking and chunking going down the road.
Overall I am very pleased.

My hitch is still flawless and looks new. After a year and at least 30 trips, I have no complaints and would still highly recommend the Curt 2500# hitch

by:

Mounted this hitch on my flatbed 3500 Ram and the hitch works flawlessly. Pull 44' tri-axle weighing in at 23,000# with ease. Very easy to use and understand, very easy to maintain.

The hitch is still working flawlessly and have pulled numerous trailers with it. Would purchase another

It is always great to have a store where you know you are getting the best price & highest quality products. Our Curt 25000 lb hitch showed up quickly & the instructions were easy to follow. We have been enjoying several trips without any issues with noises, binding or unexpected loose & sloppy hitch engagement. It is nice to have a strong, clean and simple hitch that provides security in towing our 45’ toyhauler. Thanks for a wonderful product & experience.

At this point I am only able to rate the purchase process, shipping process, and installation process. All three were excellent. A few comments: I took the advise of the etrailer associate that helped me in the purchase process. The shipping worked out OK. Freight company had the item on a pallet in 2 boxes. We were able to remove the 2 boxes and slide them out of the back of the truck in a manner I could move them in the rear of our side by side. ( A wheel barrow would have worked fine too.). Assembly was a basic follow the good instructions process. The items were a bit heavy for one person (at 70 years old). It sure appears to be a good design and heavy duty. I expect the important towing function will be very satisfactory. If not, I will so report later.

After a year of using the hitch for several trips including an 5200 mile extended trip, I find the hitch to be satisfactory and functional. After learning by experience a few little quirks of using the hitch, I am able to engage and disengage the mechanism a bit faster and smoother. My main disappointment was discovering by observation and discussion with other 5th wheelers there are hitches available that do attach to the goose neck hitch. I do wish the associate that helped me in the shopping process presented this option. summary: The hitch is a good one, I simply did not know what I did not know about the hitches available for my application.

Hitch Works Great. etrailer handled shipping issue very good. Happy with my purchase

Not one problem, like I said FLAWLESS

by:

I bought this to pull a 35' 5th wheel travel trailer. It works great. I don't even know it's behind me. I would recommend this product.

by:

At time I have a difficult time to get the latch to lock or unlock.

by:

Very functional design with its color indicator for engagement status, very HEAVY duty, couldn’t be happier with this this 5th wheel hitch. Good value.

by:

It reduced chucking and took the play out when hooked-up. It is however much more fussy about accuracy when hooking up. But as long as you use reasonable care when hooking up it is a substantial improvement over the single jaw.

by:

Excellent Fifth Wheel hitch. Easy to use and handles the RV well. Very sturdy and handled the high winds we came through in Kansas.

by:

Very good highly recommend it but wish u guys offered a 30k fifth wheel set up as well but other than that it works great

by:

Amazing hitch! Very solid built hitch and easy to install. I love the 360 degree tilt which make it really nice when towing

by:

Hitch works really good and customer support was awesome

by:

Love it. Very easy to use.

  • Comparing the Curt A25 and Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch
The main difference between the Curt A25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C16180 and the Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C16265 is the hitch head. The head on the A25 is far superior to the head on the Q25 because it has an interlocking jaw system that grips the kingpin tightly so very minimal movement is allowed, it offers a one pin head removal system. The overall feel of the head is just much smoother on the A-Series when compared to the Q-Series. I have attached a photo to show...

The Curt Q25 Replacement Head # C16565 is not compatible with the legs on your Curt Q16 hitch # C16120. You would need to replace it with a completely new 5th wheel hitch; the unit that fits in the universal standard base rails can be found with part # C16265. If you've got a truck with an OEM puck package in it, just let me know what the Y/M/M of the truck is and I can help you find a Q25 hitch that would work in the pucks. Yes, but it depends on what kind of gooseneck set up you have in your 2013 Silverado. Primarily the difference of Curt A25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, # C16180 and the Curt Q25 variant, # C16265 is the design of the hitch head. The A25 is the newer design and superior to the Q25 due to its interlocking jaw system. This design grips the 5th wheel's kingpin so tightly there is very minimal movement within the connecting point. The difference between the Curt A25 part # C16180 and the Curt Q25 part # C16265 is the jaw system. I have attached a photo for your reference. The A25 is an upgraded version of the Q25 because of it's interlocking jaw. The A25 interlocking jaw results in full contact with the king pin on the fifth wheel which reduces the rattle and chucking you may experience with a looser king pin connection.
