  • Improves engine performance by increasing horsepower, torque and fuel efficiency and decreasing exhaust gas temperature
    • Mandrel bent tubes allow for unrestricted airflow by maintaining the same diameter through every curve
      • Unrestricted airflow decreases back pressure ("exhaust turbulence")
    • Straight-through muffler has a stainless steel perforated core that runs straight through, end to end
      • Layer of stainless steel wool insulates the perforated core to absorb noise, shield high exhaust temperatures and prevent blowouts
      • Contains no baffles, chambers or louvers that restrict airflow
  • Signature sound is deep and throaty on throttle but quiet inside the vehicle
  • All materials made with 100% stainless steel
  • Clamps and hangers included for installation
  • Lifetime warranty

Specs:

  • Tubing diameter: 3"
  • Muffler dimensions: 5" tall x 8" wide x 18" long
  • Tailpipe diameter: 2-1/2"
  • Tip diameter: 3-1/2"
  • Number of tips included: 2
  • Dual exhaust system
  • Split rear exit position

The cat-back system is the portion of the exhaust system from the outlet of the catalytic converter to the tailpipe. MagnaFlow systems have Mandrel bent tubes that allow for unrestricted airflow by maintaining the same diameter throughout every curve. This curvature leads to decreased back pressure.

MagnaFlow mufflers have a stainless steel perforated core that runs straight through the muffler, end to end, with no baffles, chambers or louvers that restrict airflow. A layer of stainless steel wool insulates the perforated core to absorb noise, shield high exhaust temperatures and prevent blowouts.

Together, the Mandrel bent tubes and straight-through muffler increase horsepower, torque and fuel efficiency and decrease exhaust gas temperature. MagnaFlow's signature sound is deep and throaty on throttle but quiet inside vehicles. All materials are made with 100 percent stainless steel. Clamps and hangers are included for installation. It includes a lifetime warranty.

Video Transcript for MagnaFlow Exhaust System Installation - 2000 Chevrolet Silverado

Today on our 2000 Chevy Silverado, we'll be installing the MagnaFlow Stainless Steel Cat-Back Exhaust System, part number MF15754. To begin our install we'll first need to remove the old or manufactures exhaust. Starting at the exhaust flange just behind the catalytic converter, we'll go ahead and remove the exhaust stud nuts. Note: over time those will become corroded with rust, dust, dirt and debris, so I recommend spraying them down with some spray lubricant. Now with the nuts sprayed down, we'll go ahead and remove the nuts from exhaust stud. With both those removed, we'll go ahead and set them aside for re-installation later.

Next we'll go ahead and lower the exhaust. To do this, we'll spray each one of the rubber isolators with some spray lubricant. Then using a pry bar and pliers, we can go ahead and remove the rubber isolator from the metal hanger. Now that we've got the three rubber isolators removed, we'll go ahead and let the exhaust hang as we're cutting it in half just behind the muffler. Now with our exhaust system cut in half, we can go ahead remove it from the vehicle and set it aside as it will not be reinstalled.

To begin the install of our new MagnaFlow exhaust system, we'll start with the exhaust pipe that matches up with the exhaust flange. Before you install the second exhaust pipe, you want to install the three inch clamp under the front pipe. We'll then have the intermediate exhaust pipe will go on behind it. Then we'll go ahead and install the second clamp under the intermediate pipe and slide the muffler into position. Note: at this time it may make it easier to install the exhaust system and keep it lined up by supporting the weight of the exhaust.

We're going to go ahead and use a jack, but a block of wood or anything to help support will suffice. Now we're ready to start assembling the tailpipes into the back of the muffler. First we'll slide the clamps into position and then we can start assembling the tailpipes. Each tailpipe will be a three piece. One piece to go up over the axle, a second piece to come out the back of the pickup bed and a third piece will be our stainless steel exhaust tips.

We'll go ahead and install the passenger side first and then the driver side. As we install the driver side, feeding it up over the axle between the spare tire and shock, we'll also install the metal hanger into the rubber isolator. Now with those in position, we'll go ahead and put on the second piece of our tailpipe for both sides. As we do this, we're also going to use some bungee cords to help support the weight of the tailpipes. Now that we've got that done, we'll need to install two new hangers. These hangers will be supplied with the install kit. The hanger will consist of a clamp and hanger along with a bolt, flat washer and nut to secure it to the tailpipe. The second portion of our hanger will be a hanger that's threaded, will come with two flange nuts and two flat washers. We'll install the flange nut onto the threaded portion of the hanger and then a flat washer and feed it through a pre drilled hole in the frame. We can then install the flat washer on the top and a flange nut and adjust the height as necessary for the rear tailpipes. Once we have both hangers in place, lets go ahead and snug them down so we can install the rubber isolator. As we install the exhaust system, I'm going to use a yellow marker to mark the depth of each pipe, this way as we install the system, if anything moves we'll be aware and be able to make the necessary adjustment. Next we're ready to go ahead and start tightening down the exhaust system. As we tighten it down, we'll work from the front towards the back starting with the exhaust studs and reusing the manufacturers nuts. Then we'll start tightening down the exhaust clamps. Keep in mind before we tighten down each clamp to check for the mark that we indicated earlier to make sure our exhaust system is lined up properly. Now that we got everything tightened down, we'll go ahead and remove the bungee cord supporting the rear tailpipes, make sure they're lined up and even from side to side and then tighten the rear portion of our tailpipe. Now with our exhaust system tightened down we're ready to go ahead and install the chrome tip. We'll slide the clamp onto the tailpipe and then the chrome tip in position. Once we have our position set, we can go ahead and tighten it down. Now we'll go ahead and repeat the same process on the opposite side. With both tips installed and our exhaust system secured, we'll go ahead and check for leaks by starting the engine and then checking each one of our connection points to make sure there's no air leaks. This will complete the installation of our new MagnaFlow Stainless Steel Cat-Back Exhaust System, part number MF15754 on our 2000 Chevy Silverado.

Installation was easy, perfect fit, sounds great and engine roars! Thanks etrailer for the great customer service and MagnaFlow for a great product!

My Magnaflow cat back exhaust system on my 2016 VW GTI gave me more of the sound I wanted for my little sports car, and it looks so much better than the stock exhaust system. Meaning: the stock muffler, which shows horizontally at the rear of the vehicle, looks like an afterthought, just a metal can. The muffler on the Magnaflow is hidden in a pocket near the center of the undercarriage, so it doesn't show at all. What is visible at the rear are the dual stainless steel pipes. In addition, the exhaust tips on the Magnaflow are larger in diameter to accommodate the larger diameter pipes, and therefore look more aggressive. I am very satisfied with the setup.

Have to say that I was a bit skeptical at first, as I don't know anyone that has installed this particular kit. After installation, I am pleased to report that it has exceeded my high expectations. Kit came complete with everything needed to install (less the flange bolts). Initial sound was excellent...not too loud that it bothers the kids while they're sleeping in the car, but deep and loud enough to turn some heads. Excellent experience dealing with Etrailer as well. Will not hesitate to do business with them in the future. Thanks again for the super fast shipping and excellent customer service!

The exhaust system fit perfectly, sounds great, and looks stylish. The exhaust tone is not overly loud, yet sounds much more powerful than the stock system did.

Hardest part of installation was getting the truck high enough off the ground to get the factory exhaust over the axle. The new system was relatively easy and fit perfect. The spare tire does not fit underneath with this kit installed. I put a Tire Buddy in the bed to hold the full sized spare. The heavy duty factory receiver hitch is not in the way. System has a mellow purr that should be street legal everywhere yet is semi-aggressive. No blatting or popping. Chrome tips seem to always get black with soot and need to be cleaned often. This is a premium system and should last the life of your truck. It is well supported and doesn't vibrate. I highly recommend it. If Chevy had this as an option they would sell lots more trucks.

Bought the magnaflow exhaust for my 2015 GMC. Everyone says how great it sounds. Price was good and easy to install.

by:

I believe it is the best exhaust on the market for this application. only thing is the exhaust tip needs bent down more as it touches the body and will melt plastic.

by:

Very good performance and sounds installed myself in driveway in under 45 minutes. service was great from e-trailer.

by:

Great customer care and service from Chris and the Etrailer employee's. Got back to me to let me know of a item was back ordered from a manufacturer, didn't try to over sell me on products, asked what I'd like to do. Helped me make changes to my purchase that I needed right away. Two days later they now have my business shopping loyalty from here on out. I can't thank you guys enough.

by:

nice and growly sounding, helpful tip spay some wd 40 on ends before fitting together, helps to slide the parts together easier.

by:

I am well pleased with the system itself. This was actually a replacement under the warranty, and the previous system lasted seven years, here in the rust belt. Only complaint was the necessity of returning to manufacturer for inspection prior to receiving replacement. That meant my truck was down for about a month.

by:

Not a direct FitSounds good but had to modify rear brackets and drill holes in the frame to install on 09 F150 crew cab..not impressed with fitment or installation time..modification time caused loss of profit..

by:

Nice addition, not too loud and yet good rumble. Easy installation and would recommend it.

by:

Product nice. Fit could be better for trans am. Tail pipes don't show. Had to make extensions. Works ok now

by:

Not a great fit on my 2009This kit sounds and looks great, but the three bolt cat flange didnt fit my truck, it required machining to spread the holes further apart, just a heads up my honda ridgeline was built in june of 2009 and the install took 5 hrs because of this issue, however when finished it sounds and looks great.

by:

The MagnaFlow exhaust looks and sounds awesome. Not only that but the stainless steel construction and lifetime warranty gives me peace of mind.

by:

Excellent exhaust note through out the entire RPM range! Highly recommended this cat back system.

by:

  • Can I Use MagnaFlow Cat Back Exhaust System With Rear Sway Bar Installed on 2000 GMC Sierra
According to my contact at MagnaFlow, they don't have any installation notes on the MagnaFlow Stainless Steel Cat-Back # MF15754 that would specify that you can't use both a rear-sway bar and their system together. They also mentioned that if you needed to, you would be able to make small modifications to the tail pipes in order to make the system work without voiding the warranty. I have attached the installation video for this exhaust system shown on a 2000 Chevy Silverado, which should...
