What's up, everybody It's AJ, with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out the Coghlan's Waterproof Pouches. And they're both gonna be two different sizes here, you got the six by eight, and then the four by seven. So, you're gonna pick which one's gonna work for you, but they're used to store your electronic devices, like we've got a passport here, keys. All that stuff that you wouldn't wanna get submerged in the water, it seals up here at the top so that water can't get in, and keeps it safe anytime you're around water, let's check it out. Worked with a few different of the Coghlan brand bags today, and they do have a bunch of great items that are gonna keep that water out of your stuff, like your clothes, but not so much electronics, that's where this comes into play.

This is gonna be better than, you know, most of the time when you're around water, you just leave your electronics behind, it's better just to be safe than sorry. You can try using a zip lock bag, that's gonna open up on the top. This one's got a really good system, you just throw these latches, they snap when you take it out. And when it unlocks here, just like that. And then, you're gonna open it up, and then that's where you drop your phone in there before you seal it back up.

So it's not just like a zip lock bag, it's got this heavy duty lock set at the top. They say it's waterproof so we're gotta put it to the test 'cause we gotta find out, right So we're gonna put a phone in here, and put it to the test. I filled up this cooler with water, so we're gonna dunk it in there. But, since we're testing it out for the first time, we're not going to use my phone, Aiden, can I have your phone Thanks. Okay and we have Aiden's phone, he volunteered, you just heard, to use his, so we'll drop it here in the bag.

Kinda catches on there. Seal it back up, listen to those clicks. So now it should be all sealed up, let's test it out, we're going to dunk it. You ready, AidenAiden Yeah. AJ I don't see any water in there.

After making sure no water is in there, you can still turn on the phone, you still mess with the touch screen. So that's a pretty awesome feature that you can still use it. Even though there is a little bit water on the outside, I can still hit the buttons on here and activate the touch screen. One of the unique things about this pouch is that it floats, so I'm gonna try and push it under the water and you'll see it'll come right back up top. So I'm gonna set it there at the bottom, and it floats right back up. Plus, the bright yellow is gonna help you to be able to find it if you drop it in the river, or something like that, where it might be hard to see through the bottom, this is gonna stick out as you look for your phone. Talked about how you can use the phone while it's in the pouch still. I've activated the camera just to show you that it doesn't look like, from what we can see, that the bag causes any issues with even taking pictures. So that's really good to know, especially when you're on like a float trip or something, you wanna get your phone out and take a picture real quick. You don't have to get it out of the pouch, get it wet with your hands or anything. You just leave it in there and take a picture, it's going to be fine and nice and dry, we'll even flip it around. Both sides of the camera, you can see me and Aiden, it works just fine. Now it also comes with a carabiner and a lanyard, which is pretty handy. It's nice to have just in case, you know, you're out at the lake, or even those float trips, you just wear around your neck. There's one less thing to worry about, you don't have to check your pockets all the time, you know it's right here, and you have your phone in here, it's good to go. Plus, you could even tie it off to something else too if you wanna just tie it to something so it's there with the rest of your baggage you got. The bigger one, the six by eight one is gonna be just like the other one. It's gonna have all the same features, but this one's gonna allow you to carry just a little bit more. So we've got a passport, a phone, keys in here, just more stuff you want to keep nice and dry. It's gonna work the exact same, we're gonna to dunk it, it floats too. I'm gonna pull it out, and you see no water got in there at all. Either way, whichever one you go with, they're going to be a great addition to your camping gear. I like these a whole lot better than using a plastic bag for this stuff, or even like a sandwich bag that you can seal at the top. That's not going to stay closed, these stay closed, they also float. So if you we're to tip over on your raft, or your kayak, this would be floating in the water, and the yellow is gonna be easy to see.
