Hi everybody, my name is Andy with etrailer.com. And today, we're taking a look at Coghlan's multifunctional binoculars for kids. If you're looking for a fun way to teach your child on how to explore the world around them or their surroundings, this might be a really nice multi-tool to help you with that. Let's take a closer look at this. What we see here is this multi-tool is made out of sturdy plastic, and it does contain, believe it or not, seven different tools that your kids can use to explore. The first function that we're going to take a look at here is the binoculars.
So if you bring these four lenses out, you have a pair of functional binoculars, and it does have a focus wheel here to help you bring your subject into focus. And as you can see, it brings the eyepieces out or you can bring them in. I do wanna warn you that you could potentially bring these too far out, and they don't fall out or slip out, but it could be a breaking hazard. So just be aware of that. So that brings them into focus.
So you have your binoculars. And then if you turn this the other way and look through this way, you have a stereoscope. So let me just kind of give you an idea of what that looks like. First, I'll use this as binoculars and bring it into focus with the wheel here, and you turn this around and then you have a stereoscope. And continuing to look at the functions.
If you close a set of lenses, the bigger lens and the small ones, like on this side, you have a spyglass that you can use as well. So that brings us to three functions currently. And then, I'm gonna go ahead and just kind of close this up here. You do have a magnifier. So that is another function that we find here, it's the magnifier.
Then if you want to increase the magnification, the next function is a double magnifier. So that's an option that you have. And then as you see, there is an included compass. And I was playing around with the compass a little bit, and it does seem relatively accurate. Of course, you need to hold it this way to get the best readings. And as with all compasses, you wanna keep them away from other magnetic sources that, of course, will affect the readings. But it's a fun way to help your child learn how to use a compass. On the opposite side, there is a mirror for signaling. So that's on the opposite side of the compass. And just to kind of give you an idea of how big this is. Beginning at how tall this item is, we are sitting right at about a little over 3 1/2 inches, maybe 3 3/4 inches tall. And then measuring at the widest point, we're sitting right at about an inch, a little over an inch and a half, maybe closer to an inch and three quarters. Now this is a fun little tool that I think kids would really enjoy. But if you're looking for more of a real set of binoculars, and if you're looking to teach your child how to use more of a regular set of binoculars, I would recommend taking a look at Coghlan's binoculars for kids. You can find that on our website, item number CG92CV. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today at Coghlan's multifunctional binoculars for kids. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..
