Note: Tie-down straps and their accessories must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a look at this etrailer soft tie. Now this double loop soft tie is designed to wrap around the frame on your motorcycle or ATV to create a connection point for your tie down strap. This is great for other cargo that your tie downs hook can't fit around or it might scratch. Now just to pull out my ruler here, I wanted to give you the overall width. As you can see, we're sitting at one inch and then the overall length.
Let me zoom out here real quick and get my tape measure. And as you can see, we are sitting right at 20 inches long. And this also has a safe working load limit of 1,500 pounds with a maximum load or brake strength of 4,500 pounds. The durable yellow polyester webbing is strong and it's also going to be abrasion resistant. And of course that yellow color is going to make this very visible.
This figure eight double loop design is going to give you two ways to secure your gear. You can cinch the strap around your item and attach a hook to one loop, or you can wrap the strap around your item and run a tie down through both loops. Now, tie down straps and their accessories must be chosen according to their safe working load limit. The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined working load limit of the straps being used. So for example, if you're using straps with a working load limit of 500 pounds each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 pounds, then you need at least two straps to safely secure that load.
It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs. Well, that's going to conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
