Extensive Testing
InfiniteRule products undergo extensive third-party testing to determine shear strength. The shear strength is determined by placing the locking pin in a stress position and subjecting it to increasing force until a required proof load (maximum force received without deformity) is met or the pin fails. This lock has a shear strength of 42,000 lbs
Installation
The short pin included with this set is used as a hitch lock to secure your B&W Tow & Stow 10K or 14.5K adjustable ball mount to your 2" or 2-1/2" hitch. 2 Long pins are used to secure your ball mount platform to the ball mount. The additional long pin is used to secure your ball to your ball mount platform.

These PIN's are sold. They fit very snug and the way the lock is quite smart. Highly recommended and you get what you pay for. Do yourself a favor and read up on locking pins and their security or lack of. The cheaper ones are easily defeated. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money and protect your equipment.
Product arrived within days and when i took out of book i knew i hit the jackpot just feeling the weight and the construction of product. it looks fantastic and offers so many different options. will definitely recommend.
Everything fit perfectly. Everything looks durable. However, I expected a solid piece of steel for the hitch, but it's hollow. The product description says it's rated for 10k pounds. I've already used it to hook up and pull my 21'fiber glass boat. Everything works great so far. It would have been nice to choose a hook over a third ball that I probably won't use.

Very well made. Maybe this will stop the would-be thieves from stealing my pins even though the hitch itself is theft-proof. (I've had 3 pins lost/stolen, but the B&W hitch is still on the truck...just flopping!)
Product is working great. Use them every time I hook up my camper or utility trailer.
I love the tow and stow unit and locking pins. This is very versatile and stays secure. A bit pricy but well worth it.

Use lithium grease before inserting into holes, due to tight tolerances. Be sure to pick up on the hitch when putting it in Stow position - so to align holes.

I have used this hitch for an entire year now. I have pulled three different trailers with this hitch for a total of 30,000 miles in that year with no problems what so ever. One of the best purchases I have ever made like this. So much more convenient than carrying 3 different receivers!

These are all great quality and the need for a receiver locking pin is a given. However, the three position locking pins are not really necessary and make flipping the Tow & Stow more hassle than it has to be. No one can steal the hitch if it is locked onto the receiver. The most that they could make off with would be the cotter keyed pins that come with the mount ... which would make it unusable until replacements are obtained, but if I was worried about that, I'd just carry a spare set of them rather than the locking ones.

The 3 locking pins provide more security for your B&W Tow & Stow. The 1 longer pin secures the hitch ball to the ball platform, 2 other locking pins secure the ball platform to the shank and the final locking pin secures the shank to the trailer hitch receiver.
