Hi, everyone. Aiden here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Front Runner GoPro Mount. This is gonna be a quick and easy way to mount up your GoPro to your Front Runner Platform Racks. Let's check it out. So this will channel mount into the top channels of your platform, both on the Slimline and Slimsport, using standard M8 hardware.
So if your hardware ever goes missing, you could always just replace it. A bolt head will slide into the channel, flat washer and a lock nut on top to secure it. You can loosen it up to change the angle that this is set to, and then your actual GoPro mounts will attach to this bracket. So everything from the bracket to here is included. Everything here up is all from GoPro, so you'll need to have your own stuff to make it work.
But using the variety of accessories available from GoPro, you can customize your mount from there and get it to whatever angle that you need. Now, of course, you could use something like a clamp mount from GoPro to use this, but I like the GoPro Mount from Front Runner because it's bolted in. And it's solid. We tested this earlier whenever we we're shooting a video on a kayak carrier, and it was rock solid. Didn't budge, didn't move, and it was easy to move around and customize.
So for me, the stability's worth it, and it gives me a little more peace of mind, knowing it's bolted in, rather than just clamped around. Especially if you plan on taking your vehicle offroading, with all the shake and the jostling that your vehicle might be experiencing. This is just gonna give me a lot more peace of mind, knowing that the GoPro isn't going anywhere. And that's all there is to it. I think it's a really solid option if you're looking to mount your GoPro to the top of your Front Runner Racks.
Thanks for watching.
