It includes a heavy-duty snatch block to double your winch's line pull capacity; 2 bow shackles that provide safe connections between the snatch block, the straps, and the hook; a tree saver strap that lets you safely use a tree as an anchor point without damaging its trunk; and a recovery strap for double line rigging and to extend the length of your wire or synthetic rope. Using the items that are included in this rigging kit you can nearly double the line pulling capacity of your winch or simply change the direction of pull.
This cast iron snatch block can double the pulling capacity of your winch by turning your single line into a double line. Use it with a bow shackle and recovery rope - or the tree saver strap - to secure it to an anchor point such as a tree. For self recovery, simply run your rope around the snatch block and hook it to an attachment point on your vehicle, another vehicle, or a tree.
It can also let you change the angle of pull to align the rope so it spools back onto the drum correctly.
These steel bow shackles provide a safe and strong connection between the looped ends of the straps and your hook for normal recovery situations. Use in conjunction with a recovery strap and snatch block for rigging situations that require doubling the line for increased pulling capacity or altering the direction of pull. You can also connect them to attachment points on your vehicle.
This tree saver strap protects your anchor tree from friction damage caused by a wire or synthetic rope. This recovery strap is perfect for double line rigging. Wrap it around a stable object and attach it to your snatch block with one of your shackles. It's made of high-quality, heavy-duty polyester with a low stretch rate of less than 5 percent. The loop ends are reinforced so they can attach to your shackle without fear of breaking. It has a sewn-in tie cord so you can roll it up and leave a small footprint in your storage bag.
The strap can also be used as an extension if your wire or synthetic winch rope isn't long enough to get the job done.
This rock bag helps prevent a broken rope from snapping back should it break during a recovery. The weight of the bag on the cable absorbs the kinetic energy of the broken rope and brings it to the ground, eliminating the force of the snapback.
Simply fill this tear-resistant polyester bag with rocks, zip it up, and place it either in the middle of the rope or within 5-6 feet of the hook. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Bulldog Winch 8-Piece Recovery Winch Rigging Kit with the Heavy-Duty Storage Bag for 9,000 to 10,000 pound recovery winches. Now this kit will provide all the accessories you'll need for rigging with your 9,000 to 10,000 pound recovery winch. Laid out all the pieces that are included in this kit, it's a total of eight pieces. We're gonna go through each piece, mention what it is, and then we're gonna go through each piece and describe what it does. Now, we'll start with the snatch block right here.
Comes with the snatch block, comes with the two bow shackles right here, a nice tree saver strap, a larger recovery strap right over here, comes with a rope dampening rock bag, a pair of trail gloves, and a nice handy storage bag. Now to describe each piece, we're gonna zoom in a little bit, so you can see them a little bit better. We'll talk about the cast iron snatch block right here. This cast iron snatch block, this will increase your winch's pulling capacity when you used for a double line pole. Changes the direction of the pole without damaging your wire or your synthetic rope.
The wheel that's on the inside here, the diameter of it is five inches. Maximum rope diameter this will take is 7/16 inch diameter. Maximum load or break strength on this part is 24,000 pounds, safe working load limit of 9,000 pounds. Also comes with two of these 3/4 inch sized bow shackles. These create a nice safe attachment point for your hook, your snatch block, or the looped end of your strap.
Each one of these shackles has a maximum load or break strength of 57,000 pounds, safe working load limit of 9,500 pounds. We mentioned the tree saver strap. This is a 10 foot long, 3 inch wide tree saver strap provides a nice strong anchor point for recoveries while protecting trees from any rope damage. Maximum load or break strength on this is 30,000 pounds, safe working load limit of 10,000 pounds. The larger strap right over here, this is a 30 foot long, 3 inch wide, low stretch polyester recovery strap.
This creates a nice attachment for your double line rigging. Extends the length of your wire or your synthetic rope. This strap here has a maximum load or break strength of 30,000 pounds, safe working load limit of 10,000 pounds. Back here, we have the large rock bag rope dampener. This will prevent your wire and synthetic rope from snapping back when it breaks. The way you use this, is you have a zipper on this side, you just open the zipper, putting in rocks to give it some weight, so when it's filled with the rocks, the weight of this bag on your cable will absorb the kinetic energy if you have a broken rope, and it'll bring it to the ground, eliminates the force of the snapback, prevents any damage. You can see that when you do put this over cable or your rope there, it has the hook and loop fasteners that'll clip around it to keep it in place. Now, it also comes with a pair of these XL sized trail gloves. These gloves will help protect your hands from calluses, rope burns, and cuts from any frayed wire. You can see on the palm of it, it's padded, to prevent any damage. You can see, they do put them with fasteners to install them. Just slide it onto your hand, good firm form fit, close it up, and you're all ready to go just like that. And the last piece is this heavy duty polyester storage bag that'll hold all of these stuff. Comes with the hand straps that you're gonna just attach together and carry it like that, it does have a weight capacity of a 100 pounds, or it comes with this detachable shoulder strap if you wanna use the shoulder strap, if not, you can just detach it and carry it that way, just like that.
