Video Transcript for Review of AceCamp Luggage Parts - FixnZip Small Zipper Repair - 3777060

Hey, everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're going to be taking a quick look at the FixnZip repair zipper. This helps you to repair a broken zipper on a pair of trousers or a skirt or something that uses that smaller type nylon tooth and coil zipper. I'll show you an example of what that tooth and coil zipper looks like in just a second. But, it's pretty easy to use. There's no sewing required, no tools required.

It's really easy to replace that busted or missing zipper. So, if it happened to fly off or it's just not connecting anymore with the other teeth, this can replace that zipper all together, or at least just get you closer to closing those teeth together so that you can use your existing zipper. So, let's take a closer look at it. And, again, I'll show you that example of a coil and tooth style zipper. So, it's just this little piece here. It does have a nice pull tab to make it easier, again, if you're going to be replacing the zipper.

Pull with this guy. Basically, to use this, you're just going to twist this little knob and that opens up the jaws here, the clamp, so I can move those apart. And then you would just feed your zipper in on either side. Get it as close to the end as possible, and that'll make it easier to get that melded together. Once you have it in place, tighten that little knob down pretty tight so that it gets the teeth to join up together.

Sometimes it can be a little bit tricky, but it should work out well for you. So, here's an example of a tooth and coil style zipper. So, it should look something like this. I'll zip it up to make that a little bit clearer. Now, this particular zip and pull, or FixnZip, is going to be a little bit too small for a jacket. So, this would be a little bit...

Just not quite big enough to work for this particular application. You can see a little bit better from the inside that style of zipper. So, if you have a metal or a plastic style zipper, it should look a bit different than this. And it most likely will not work. Of course, you can try it, but it probably won't work as effectively as the tooth and coil because that's what it's designed for. But, again, you would just feed either side of the zipper into it and then this would help to get those working again. Now, we do have other sizes available. There's a medium and a large size. Those are available here at etrailer.com, and you can also get them as a kit all together. This one is the nickel finish. So, it's more of a silvery finish. There's also one that's a little bit darker. It's still kind of shiny, but a little bit more of a black color. So, if you want to have something a little bit less obvious, that is an option as well. And it also comes in the small, medium, and large sizes. As far as the actual number, it is going to be between an eighth of an inch and a quarter of an inch. As far as the span, the packaging that comes with this has a little ruler to help you figure out what size you need. It is made in USA, but that's really about all there is to it for our look at the AceCamp FixnZip zipper repair. I hope this has been helpful in deciding if this is going to be the right piece for you. Again, we do have those other options available here at etrailer.com. So, if you need something else, check it out. Thanks for watching.
